He said he wanted something that was going to turn heads. I just gave him my honest opinon, and that in that price range, if it isnt an Older American Muscle car, then there really isnt much that comes to mind there isnt a butt load on the street already that he can drive, and will scream NOTICE ME, crazy fast, and fun to drive that anyone really doesnt see daily as it is.

He may as well get a collection of cars in that range, place them on a dart board, and take a shot.

A used M5 can be had for under 30 grand, which is a prime example of why i'll never buy a new car.

Hmm.. Mazda or M5... tough choice... wait.. no it isnt.

Jetta GLI, for me. It's what I drive :) Mine cost $28k, but if I gave up a few options it would be in your price range.

Do your research: Hyundai Azera.

As cheap as a Camry/Accord, a fast as a sports sedan, drives like a Lexus, fit/finish of a German car, as reliable as a Japanese car....and looks like a fancy upscale model. The car runs over $40k in Korea, btw.

Hyundai has come along way but that car still looks like a$$.

Different strokes. But if you hate its styling then you must hate Lexus as that's who they take their styling cues from.

Hmm, for that amount I would get a Honda Civic Hybrid or a Toyota Prius, or maybe add a few thousand more and get a Acura TSX. I prefer fuel efficient cars over high performance ones. If you want performance, why not a Subaru WRX? It is a unique car, has AWD and is nice.

I would not buy a used car for that much money. Drive a few cars first. Have you checked out the new Nissan Altimas and Honda Accords? Are they unique? Probably not. But they are among the top cars on the road in their price ranges.

Another vote for TSX here. Recommanding Nissan Maxima- not that sporty looking but the horsepower would make up for it.
