I am in the USA and I currently lease a 2002 Honda V6 Accord Coupe.

What the best car within this price range I should go for. BTW I live in Washington DC.

Thanks,

it depends on what kind of car you are looking for.

I'm shopping in the same price range and i'm strongly considering a pontiac GTO

WTF? Your range is $2K which is crap. You don't list what kinds of cars/vehicles you prefer.

That's like saying: "Recommend me a fruit that's sweet"

Well I tend to like sports cars and to be honest I like for my car to kind of wow people and at the same time be very fun to drive.

You can get an Accord EX-L V6 for that if you skip the salespeople. It's a damn good all-around car. You can get it with a 6-speed, too.

For you, I would suggest a 1988-1992 Honda Accord with mirror tint, altezza lights and 22" chromes for the bling factor.

Note: custom work may need to be done to fit the rims into the wheel well to prevent rubbing.

Depends on taste really!

If I was in your shoes I would look at getting a:
STi/WRX
Evo
Legacy GT
Mazdaspeed 6
Mazdaspeed 3
Civic SI

Perhaps one of the used versions of the above cars if it is out of your price range. I own an Evo myself. Certainly has the "Wow" factor to certain crowds I suppose. Performance is great. Creature comforts are rather sparse tho...ie: no cruise control.

I saw a legacy gt on the road and it looked real nice.. awd drive like other subarus too, little more practicle then a wrx. Maybe an Acura RSX?

If your interested in used cars then a whole new world is opened.. BMW M5/M3.. Volvo s60r.. s2000 (really impracticle).. maybe g35's are down to 27k now? Never been in an s2000, but the other cars listed are big (sans M3), fast and luxurious.

You want something sporty, stands out in a crowd, fun to drive, your looking for Old American Muscle. You dont see much of it on the road anymore, when you do it always gets looks, and there is nothing like old American V8 rumble from under the hood and your feet to grab attention and pound you into the back seat when you whomp on it. I can promise you will grab more attention with an older American car in theis country then you would with rice and a fart can. I get more people looking at my 88 Firebird when parked at the store then any other car. Because you dont see many of them. When you do they are rusty and falling apart. Mine is in near mint condition. No matter where I go I get "Nice car" and it still has the balls to lay scratch and get up and go.

Aside of that if your looking for something newish to do it, forget it for it all pretty much looks the same and like an ass hole everyone has one or seen it everyday. But for $20-$25K you should be able to find a pretty nice Muscle Car for that scratch. None of this new American "Muscle" stuff Im talking 50-80's stuff that can sometimes be found extreamly cheap.

I dont think a guy who is currently driving a 2002 accord is the same kind of guy that would be interested in spending 25 grand on a 30 year old muscle car.

Mazdaspeed 3. Decent-looking, has a 263hp turbo I4 which gives it some pep, and will run you $26,300 for the Grand Touring model w/ navigation.

You can get a Speed6 for thousands less, with the same (or better) options & AWD.
