Best Buy VERSUS Fry's Electronics

I :heart: Fry's. The only thing I don't like is that they hire people who don't fully speak the language and then put those people as Customer Service reps.

I voted Best Buy but only because they don't have as large of a selection of computer parts. I noticed how Fry's motherboard boxes are all in really crummy condition, they look like they 've been tossed around and/or returned.
if what you meant to say was "I :heart: Fry's. The only thing I don't like is that they only hire people who don't speak the language at all." Then I agree with you. Except for the "I :heart: Fry's." part.

The problem with Fry's is tolerating the baboons who work in the returns department. There will be 18 people back there and a whole 2 of them will be actively helping customers. You can watch the other 16 goofing off.
And getting help the time I needed it at the CS desk was impossible. A dozen people sitting at their desks staring at me while I stared at them.
Still, these problem are nothing compared to BB and are easily excused because Fry's gives you SO much the rest of the time and you can SEE that they are rolling over the savings for hiring this caliber of employee into lower prices....Best Buy gives you the worst of both worlds.
Best thing about Fry's is being the 60th person in line and still making it to your car in five minutes.

i hate how fry's puts broken merchandise back on the shelf.
i also hate how they have to get a manager to examine all returns so that it takes 2x as long as it should.
and i hate that they try to make me open my bag and show them what i bought when i leave.

Fry's-Many, many, many more computer components, even carry rackmount equipment
