jesus, i love dell. this is the reason why michael dell started from nothing in his college dorm room and now is a multi-billionaire - CUSTOMERS ARE #1. say what you want about their tech support - yes, it may be sliding, but they're taking steps to correct it.

HAHHAAH get off the fvcking crack..
DELL is the fvcking computer devil...
they rip you off and break it off in your ass...

they sell sh1tty machines at full prices and make half thier crap proprietarty and then when peeps get to the point they need to upgrade they have to spend that same amount all over again to buy a whole new ssytem.. since everything down to the powersupply plugs are different that stuff you buy from mainstream parts vendors to build a 500% better computer for less..
and THEN when you have a problem they send your ass to Mexico or India for tech support... ya GG Dell! they rule sooo freaking much...

Best Buy rocks...
never ever had a problem with them spent plenty of money there and nothing will change my mind on this..
they price match Frys for me every week if I bring the add with me so there is no reason for me to cross town to go to Frys...
Circuit City is a freaking joke...

Lay off the pipe.
You couldn't build some of the systems dell offers at the price they sell em for.

hahah! omfg... ya you buy that Dell. with the propriatary Motherboard that doesnt perform as a off the shelf would..you buy that craptastic memory that doesnt even meet Kingston Values specs...
buy that craptastic case that you are trapped into useing

I built a A64 3000 with a 6800GT from the ground up that Pounds Dells top of the line XPS 3.06 HT with all the bells and whistles that he ended up paying close to 3000 for... into the ground in benchmarks... and real world perfomance..
my friend who bought that POS sold it and had me build him an A64 with good parts that he can upgrade as he needs to...
My parents bought a Dell and its been to service for RMAed parts 4 times this year.. they re not using this POS for anything but Email and internet... and it was one of the 1500 buck Dells...

I am a Computer tech by trade and I see Dells all day long that are fubared and then when the users try to call tech support they get some moron on India that asks them if they are sure the computer is turned on...

Dell sucks.. computer newbies and posers only need apply...
DELL = Modern Day Packard Bell...
same business practices.. same crappy reject proprietary hardware sold at a premuim price..

you want a machine Intel or other wise that performs you buy ABIT/ASUS/INTEL/and sometimes MSI everything else is second hand crap..

If you pay full prices then you are a tard. And it looks like you have probably paid full price before. You = tard.

Jesus dude, you are missing the whole point. Why don't you read all the posts again carefully and slowly and get back to us. In the meantime if you don't want to read, please go play in traffic on your nearest interstate.

This thread is about dell taking business from BestByte's poor business practice. Not whether you can build a computer from the ground up better than dells computers. Just stop posting fvcktard.

And how the fvck do you shoplift or steal from Dell? Did they open up stores and didn't tell anyone?

Dell has outlets stores in Austin, TX. They are big stores just like BB and CC but only have Dell products.

They used to have an outlet factory selling refurbished computers and other products, printers etc. They have closed that done a long time ago, 3 or 4 years ago. There are no Dell stores to walk into and buy computers.

That is way too cool on Dell's part. My mother wanted a new computer and that sounds like a good buy for her so may pass that along.

Winnar! Apparently he's never been to the Hot Deals forum and seen some of the amazing deals Dell has had over the past 2 years. Let him wallows in his ignorance, he seems to be enjoying it.

Dell doesn't have the presence to compete directly with BB's consumer base.

Now Walmart, OTOH, does. And if you've been watching them lately, they're making strides to eat away at Best Buy's core. They already stock Panasonic TVs, they are talking to Sony, they will always undercut the competition price-wise, and they have enough B&M presence to make some damage in BB's portfolio.

The last dell I bought had an Intel Motherboard, WD Harddrive, an SBLive, and a Sony DVDrw. The only thing propietary was the case and the powersupply. The case, however, is ingeniously designed as it only has 1 quiet 120mm fan and a passive cooling hs.
