jesus, i love dell. this is the reason why michael dell started from nothing in his college dorm room and now is a multi-billionaire - CUSTOMERS ARE #1. say what you want about their tech support - yes, it may be sliding, but they're taking steps to correct it.

I wouldn't mind going back to work at Best Buy if they laid off some of the pressure to sell extended warranties. It was actually a rather fun place to work at if you got past that.

Haha! Good job, Dell.

Still, I go to BB every once in a while, when I need something that day.

Dell has outlets stores in Austin, TX. They are big stores just like BB and CC but only have Dell products.

I've got to hand it to Dell that was sheer marketing genius to use Best Buys words against them like that for their own gain.

I wonder if it's the same in Canada. Do all the hot women work in cell phones department?

They're mostly cashiers or customer service over here. We still have a majority of guys working the floor, except perhaps in digital cameras.

Funny thing... Computers (my old department) has had women working in it from time to time, but the Home Theatre section suffered from a complete shutout for the 2.5 years my store was open for until a few months ago. At that point, a rather well-proportioned brunette joined the HT staff. She moved in the kind of way that leads to ninety percent of the men around her tracking her with their eyes... :D

After I quit working there for the second time, I found out that the repressed sexual energy had finally come to a head with one of the old-time HT guys squeezing her ass and making some comment out on the floor, at which she complained and had him fired and herself moved to customer service.

Chicks these days. :p

Well, I work in computer repair (omg big suprise), and it's not even like we're part of the store. The rest of the staff was getting yelled at for doing poorly for the past couple days, and I went back and looked how we were doing, and we were in the top 90% this month. We don't have to worry about extended warranties, and we get to see a lot more pron at work than most people would.

Maybe it's just from having been in the military, but it seems like little kids run the real store, but it's pretty fun working back in repair.

Being a "bottom feeder" for hot deals, etc, I disagree with Best Buy's marketing strategy. If it's any resolution, I might quit once I get my appliances once I'm eligible for my employee discount :p

The ad was lollerskates though~

I tried to pricematch half-life 2 to Microcenter yesterday to $39.82 + 10% difference. A supervisor as it seems, told me that she couldn't pricematch to Microcenter becase selling it to me at that price would be below at cost and she would be losing money. I told her straight out that I was reading Best Buy's big ass mural of polilicies and told her that what she said waShe sn't written on there. It was a guarantee from Best Buy. She still refused to pricematch, telling me I can go to corporate and ask them about the details. At that point, I just went straight to customer service and did the pricematch without a hassle. $35.42 + tax. It seems like their words about us hot deals seekers are really taking into effect. Either that or she lied to me.

Cliff's notes: I made Best Buy lose money.

HAHHAAH get off the fvcking crack..
DELL is the fvcking computer devil...
they rip you off and break it off in your ass...

they sell sh1tty machines at full prices and make half thier crap proprietarty and then when peeps get to the point they need to upgrade they have to spend that same amount all over again to buy a whole new ssytem.. since everything down to the powersupply plugs are different that stuff you buy from mainstream parts vendors to build a 500% better computer for less..
and THEN when you have a problem they send your ass to Mexico or India for tech support... ya GG Dell! they rule sooo freaking much...

Best Buy rocks...
never ever had a problem with them spent plenty of money there and nothing will change my mind on this..
they price match Frys for me every week if I bring the add with me so there is no reason for me to cross town to go to Frys...
Circuit City is a freaking joke...
