Hi, so i come to find out that my friends original laptop was fine until a cd was loaded and it would not work or eject out. He returns it and gets another laptop (same model and everything) and upon opening it comes out to be a whole diferent laptop than what the box said it was. He returns it and then Best buy accuses him of keeping the one he wanted and putting another model into the box. WTF!! Can someone help me help him. Thanks.

it is their fault when they sold that back to a customer claiming it was another model, though. Returns should have been verified that they were the correct item when they were returned.

I got a videocard from circuit city once (big mistake) and the wrong one was in the box. Luckily they took it back, but they tried to force me to buy a new one on the spot, but I was not about to after that happened.

not if they were never an exchanged item. and an employee just reshrinkwraped an item that he stole.

I bet that's what happened. Item was returned, they opened the box and say they got ripped off, "Naw just give it to the next customer who returns this laptop, and accuse THEM of switching it"
