Moonbogg if you want to feel better about this and put it in some perspective, look up the unaired episode of Fear Factor where they made the girls drink about 2 liters of horse semen and horse urine....then didn't even air it.

moonbogg, you are the Cat's MEOW!:thumbsup::D

BestBuy ought to GIVE you a GTX 1080 for that performance!

lol nice. Maybe if they saw it they'd feel sorry for me and console me with a free 1080? I wouldn't complain!

Well, I admire your commitment to your bets, even if it was a silly bet to begin with. Bravo!

Oh, this is of critical importance. Gamers being priced out of mid range GPU's is easily worth eating cat food over. Its worth doing a lot more than that, but I think I'll hold off on making any more promises or bets for a while, at least until I get that taste out of my mouth. :D

Oh
My
Gawd

That is way beyond wretched. Thanks for uplifting my spirits though, lol.

You know, cynics would say that, that wasn't actual cat food...
So, you either punked everyone in this thread, or you are one sick puppy. ;)

Wow, I would have a least waited until they actually showed stock at $699. Kudos to you though for going through with it. What would make this more hilarious though is if once stock arrives they list for $709. What would make this more tragic is if we see moonbogg stop posting and a cat food recall in a few weeks.

Well catfood aside, why is it that a business savy store like bestbuy isn't hiking the prices on an item that's pretty much sold out everywhere else? Are these on strict instructions from Nvidia? Or were they even shocked at the price that they thought nobody would actually pay up?

Why would you eat cat food because some website has a bunch of OOS product pages? How does selling 0 cards for $700 prove anything? Oh, btw I have a GTX 1080 FE for sale for $250. But there's none in stock right now, check back later.

Kudos Moonbogg but I would have gone into an actual Bestbuy store to check prices. I've seen things online for sale at $99 that in store were marked $120. :)

That's true. When I bought my mouse there I had to get them to price match their own online price. Same thing when I got my 2+1 speaker set from there.

Respect. If i were in same city, i'd buy you a meal... and a six pack of bitter ale to wash off the taste of cat food.
