Best Buy price for GTX 1080 FE...

Our good friend moonbogg made this post a little while ago:
I had to google that. OK here it is. I will not read every single post in this thread carefully enough to ensure I didn't accidentally parody someone. I will certainly not provide a smiley face to indicate I was kidding, because believe you me talking to you, I was as serious as a heart attack. Best Buy will sell reference cards for over $700. If they don't, I will eat a handful of cat food and post proof right here in this thread.

Best Buy is selling reference/Founders Edition cards for...$699.99.

In all seriousness, it's interesting that Best Buy isn't marking up beyond NVIDIA's pricing. Has anybody been able to snag one of these in store at Best Buy today?

No tax here, either. If my car wasn't out on loan I'd drive right over there to check out if they have any stock.

I've got a long drive today and I'll actually be passing not one, but two Best Buy stores. I'll stop in and check if they have any, but somehow I doubt it and expect just old stock of GTX 970/GTX 980 to be lingering around...

I'm debating what's worse. Being the guy who sais he's going to do something and then just doesn't do it, or being known as the forum attention whore who actually ate cat food infront of everyone. Either way I am *expletive*
I actually expected the cards to be over $700. I really did. Best Buy's sudden and unexpected lack of blatant greed in this case has screwed me it would seem.

Just checked BestBuy.com in an effort to, well...it doesn't matter. FE cards litter the site for $700.

If I were you, I would write a sternly worded letter to Best Buy, complaining about their recent lack of business acumen, and then include a picture of you eating cat food with the letter.

Please don't actually eat the cat food, lol

Good news is cat food is way less than $700.

It's not that bad. You can get pretty high quality kind.

I have actually eaten "human food" that was probably worse for me than what you are showing here, LOL!

Damn RS, that looks pretty decent actually. You're kind of making me hungry, lol. That's almost like cheating by eating such a fine cat food cuisine like that. I can do that no problem. Its just like a can of Tuna, but probably better actually.

I have notice that Bestbuy has been doing a lot better on prices, they are also a lot better on price matching internet now. Moonbogg got screwed over by Bestbuy changing for the better.

I'm starting to think we might need a cat food sub forum.
