Did I thread crap on my own thread?
Maybe. But, at least you had the courtesy not to whip it into a froth, nor did you offer to flame a pigiron.
I'll bet we all have a rant about BB (I could have ranted about the $250 rebate they ripped me off for a couple of years ago but to date, haven't said a word).
Needless to say, this Antec case is arguably the best of the best (even better than the Sonata IMHO) - and at $42 a guy ought to buy at least a ½ doz - just not from BB.

Keep findin' them deals :D:D:D

Geez, do you want some strained cheese with that childish whine?
Well, I've said my part on this and I think it's quite obvious that you have some real issues to work out with yourself. BTW, ask your family doctor......they have some real good drugs to help you out.
I for one will do the courteous thing and ignore further crap from the likes of you so as not to further take away from this thread. Apologies to the others involved. I don't usually allow idiots to drag me into crap like this. Uh oh! Was that an attack?!?
How anal is it that you also PM'd me with the same diatribe?
Now, are we going to have to look up diatribe?

Yeah, and after going the same route as you, I also found out what really large fingers I have, after adding a Zalman 7000cu to the mix. (I should have said ? what large injured fingers...)
This case and the Zalman 7000 make for such a quiet installation that I actually had to look at the fan spinning in order to see if it was really on. :D:D:D

Ouch on the fingers. But overall an excellent case. Thanks again guys for posting it.

Got one of the cases, it's sweet as all the Antec cases are. This was a price not to be passed up.

San Diego Best Buy on Hwy 54 had 6 left as of this evening at 5:00 pm, they are on the bottom for us, not up on top... :)

I'm glad I didn't jump on the SLK1650B deal last week. I'd rather spend a little extra money on this case + PSU instead. Thanks OP!

Can you get the $20 rebate if they gave you the wrong case?

I picked up the 3700 at first by accident, but it rang up at $101, so I took it back and then had to hunt down the 2650.

And no you can't get the $20 rebate on the 3700, the rebate is specifically for the 2650.

If you got the 3700 for $59.99 + Tax, I wanna see a receipt! =)

i think somebody ran off with those crucial 3200 sticks -- bet they finally went on clearance (who would buy them @ $159?)

Not so. The deal ends then, but you have 30 days more to send the rebate in. The postmark deadline is actuallly 30 days after the deal ends, that is 2/22/05. A lot of time.

There were still 6 at my Best Buy where no one would casually see them; way, way up where they use the rolling staircase to get them.

I got one, and it is an even better case then I thought. so here's a bump.

Low speed, 1200RPM 120mm (for quietness), rear fan with a separate tach plug. It is isolation mounted to the case, not directly, to cut vibration noise.

Large air holes in the front, exactly where it flows directly on the HDs. You will get good air flow on the HDs without adding a front fan. (More fans = more noise.) The mount for a front 80mm fan is located below that.

Adjustible air duct (via side blow hole) that directs cool air right to the CPU heatsink/fan. This is the way Intel recommends. You can add an 80mm fan to make it a powered blow hole if you like, but without it is less noise.

Rubber grommet mounting system for HDs, to stop vibration transmission of noise to the case.

The way of having the card mount screws OUTSIDE the case is kind of neat, and just a little easier to screw down. There is a plastic housing to prettify that protrusion. which also has a little compartment for a bag of screws. Cute.

HD cage has a simple, screwless, dismount latch.

5 inch devices mount into tracks via screwless latches.

Side cover is attached with two thumscrews for easy, quick opening.

Power supply is the extra quiet one.

Front USBs are at mid height, not the bottom.

It looks nice, in a very subdued way.

Dang, I which I could get 2 with a rebate.

Got the case from CompUSA as well! Was going to get the $24.99 SC200 model but they were out of stock and I realized what a great deal this case was since it includes a SOLID 350w power supply AND 120mm case fan for only $15 more. I have an old 300w supply that has been kicking for over 6 years but it doesn't have nearly the amp power that this one does.

Finally, a small black case! My old case was a beige full tower. You know it's time to get a new case when your non-techie wife insists on it ;)
