Too bad my CompUSA doesn't have any of the PNY 6800GT's in stock. That would have been a sweet deal!

best buy sucks pigeon eggs.
I can't believe it! Best Buy sucks a lot more than eggs.
I just went to the store with my son (same last name as me) and BB said that him presenting my D/l & cc constituted cc fraud! Then she had the nerve to tell me that my sending him in with my cc was cc fraud.

I'll never buy anything at BB again! They can shove their fraud up their arse! :D:D:D

PS garkman, this is not a thread crap. It's a BB crap just like kof's post. And besides that, you do not want to piss me off right now as, I could flame pig iron!

[Ducking to hide from the pig iron flame] Actually the BB person was pretty much correct. Your son is not the owner of the CC which is (although a stretch) a form of fraud. Now, if he was standing right in front of you doing this and then you signed the sales slip, no big deal and the BB person was an idiot. Of course, you could add his name to your CC and then it would all be kosher. ;)

You should look up the definition of the word "fraud"...that's what I told her to do.

Get over the word; you know what was meant, no matter how you (or they) choose to word it. Let's let this thread go back to the subject at hand. If you wish to debate word meanings, use PM's.

i am definitely getting this antec 2650 case. i save over 40 bucks compared to retail.

but apparently i've run into a little snag. the best buy nearest me, the one in chelsea, nyc does not have the case in stock. i still would rather pick up the case instead of having it shipped to me so is it possible that i tell them to wait until chelsea has them back in stock before i pick it up? has anyone done anything similar to this before?

Hey, you were the one who chose to debate it with me...and now you flippantly reduce it to the equivalent of ? it's all my fault?

OK, let me help you out.......
Main Entry: PM
Pronunciation: Pee Em
Etymology: forum slang, referring to a form of personal communication. Sometimes used to keep CRAP from further clouding an otherwise somewhat usefull discussion. Used as a COURTESY in these situations.

FYI, PM in the given context meant you should get the chip off your shoulder in this thread and try to discuss it in a way that wouldn't CRAP and/or POLUTE this any further.

In other words, Ride free on this........!!

Now, do you want to continue this here until the Mods decide we need a vacation or do you want to cut your losses and PM, as invited. I'd bet if we took a vote here most would vote for PM.

So, who made you the thread police?
You attacked me not once, not twice but three times.

I simply protested being referred to as a fraud, by Best Buy or it's corporate agent - apparently, you.
Now, you get over it.

If you feel the need to PM, do so. I do not feel like PMing you or any one else that wants to argue...

These are what you refer to as attacks??? Why don't you cruise on over to the OT or P&N forums to see what real attacks are. The sooner you get that chip off your shoulder the better.
Reread my posts. The first one suggested BB's possible reason but also took issue with them; even suggesting they may have been and idiot. The second one, after your smart arse reply, suggested you get over being stuck on the wording and if not, take it to PM as a courtesy to others. Undaunted, you again gave a smart arse reply with a definition of fraud and followed up with the following "treasure".....
Pardon me if I took offense at it, and you.

Buz2boff
So, I followed up in kind and gave you my definition of PM; giving as good back as you gave to me. I also pointed out that the Mods don't like people carrying on with unrelated arguments inside of legitimate threads. They also don't like thread crapping. Did you take the hint?? Nope, not you! Instead you decided to bless us with a childish tantrum, punctuated by this little wonder.....
I do not feel like PMing you or any one else that wants to argue.
Geez, do you want some strained cheese with that childish whine?
Well, I've said my part on this and I think it's quite obvious that you have some real issues to work out with yourself. BTW, ask your family doctor......they have some real good drugs to help you out. :)
I for one will do the courteous thing and ignore further crap from the likes of you so as not to further take away from this thread. Apologies to the others involved. I don't usually allow idiots to drag me into crap like this. Uh oh! Was that an attack?!?:Q

Thanks Cheap2,
I think this may be the best case/PS around and will pick one up today!
Great Deal.

I bought one of these cases yesterday and it is sweet for the money. It is really quiet even with after I installed the side and front fan. Little tricky getting getting a full size atx board in and kinda tight between the video card and hard drive but I still lke it. The rubber mounts for the hard drive are great. Thanks for posting the deal guys.

best buy sucks pigeon eggs.

I went out to my local Best Buy last weekend to buy the NVIDIA 6800 GT. I received a gift card for $150 from my in laws for Xmas and received the 10% off coupon in the mail. So I figured what the heck it took $190 off the retail price. I went into BB and they had they none. No problem I know they are hard to find. I asked the computer department mgr if he could find out what other stores had them. He looked it up in the computer and said that 3 others had them in stock. He called one place and they had just sold theirs, so I asked if could call another. He said ?Here are the phone numbers call them yourself. I am way to busy with customers". Well what the heck I was? Chopped beef??? So I took the numbers went back out to my car, tried one number and it was a wrong number. So I called the 800 number to complain. After 10 minutes of searching thru phone prompts I was finally was able to reach a live person. (After 20 minutes of holding) I told the rep about the guy?s attitude and what he said. The rep said he has every right to tell me to call myself so he can wait on other customers. Again I thought " What am I chopped beef"? I told him I work in retail (I really do) and that if I had a customer that wanted me to call another store to find out if they had a product in stock, I would. That is just good customer care, whether it was a $5 item or $500. If someone gets good customer care they will be back. The guy told me I was wrong and then started to raise his voice at me. I lost my temper and told him he was wrong. Anyway to make a long story short I hung up on him. Unless it is a great deal like this case I will not go back. Even then I have my doubts. Between all the other B&M, I have Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, Staples and Office Max all within a 10 drive of each other and the web. I really don?t see going back to Best Buy. But I needed a case and this case was too good of deal for me. It is for son?s computer as his power supply decided to retire.

Anyone have this case? Seems like a decent deal, but how does the case compare to other $70ish cases?

Oh, sorry to thread crap with a question about the OP. I'll post a BB hate story too.

For several months there was a cute girl working at my local BB. We would chat from time to time. Then she stopped working there. I will never shop at BB again!!

About a year ago I was at Best Buy and asked if the router had a built in firewall. He said, "Yes". I asked does it stop/notify me of traffic going in and out. He said, "Yes". I said, "I thought I read that routers only notify you of traffic coming in and not going out." He said, "Well if you knew the answer to that question, why did you bother to ask me?" and walked off. I went home and got my DVD player that I purchased the week before and returned it because of his attitude. I wish I had more options in this town, but thanks to the internet I can, and do, shop elsewhere. Otherwise I just buy the cheap stuff on BestBuy.

Did I thread crap on my own thread?

Happy MLK day :)

While we're on the subject of BBB (Best Buy Bashing), what kind of idiocy is it that you can't use gift cards online?

Oh yay I forgot about that. The guy also told me I could use my gift card and 10% off coupon online. Now if this was a new cashier that told me that, I could understand. But a department mgr told me that and he was wrong on both counts.

But the case is well worth the money.

Case is a very nice case. There were 7 at my local Bestbuy, however they were all up on the top shelf instead of in reaching distance.

$40AR for an Antec w/ Power Supply, worth it if you can stand Best Buy.

Oh yeah, and the 2650 comes in a box that has a brown/tan color to it, as opposed to the Blue and Black colors of the other Antec and Dyntex cases. Took a little while to realize where they were hiding.

(Before I confuse anyone. The Cases are black. The box it is in, has tan/brown on the ends instead of the blue and black colors of the other boxes)

I thought they were sold out too, but I asked. They had 7, but both myself and the Best Buy rep didn't see them at first. Thats why I mentioned the box colors. when looking up at them at a glance, they looked like one of the many pre-packaged systems they sell. After looking twice, finally spotted it. The tan instead of blue/black threw us off.

Sweet! :)

I bought an SLK1650B for $37 shipped AR from outpost a little while back

This thread.

Doesn't look much different, other than the door on the SLK2650-BQE?

2650 has Door on the Front, a air guide on the side vent (its not listed on the 1650, but it might have it) Basically it looks like a cone on the inside of the panel to help airflow directly to the CPU fan (if its right near or under the vent), and the 2650 has External 4x 5.25" bays, 2x 3.5" and 2x 3.5" Internal. The 1650 has 3x 5.25" 2x 3.5" external, and 3x 3.5" internal.

So, the front door, a slight change on the drive bays, the airflow thing on the inside of the side panel, and I don't know. Is the 1650 fan a low RPM fan too?

That is about all the differences that I know of without owning both of them.
