Best Buy Employees Busted For Switching Items Inside Boxes

This happened when I was working in retail - we lost our loss prevention bonus because it happened on the day of inventory with copies of Windows 2000 Server edition and a $100 box of logitech speakers.

It wasn't employees. Worst part, since it was done by three people, in three trips to the store, even if we'd caught them, it would have been virtually impossible to prove.

Right... because no one's ever stolen electronics anywhere else. Bridgewater is probably one of the safest towns in America. Our biggest story ever was that police shooting (i think last year?) by bank robbers. The whole town went nuts cause that's never happened before.

:Q I hadn't heard about that. I was getting lunch at KFC a while back, and as I pulled down the one-way road that runs behind KFC and Wendy's I saw a cop car parked on the side of the road. Then as I pulled into the KFC parking lot I saw the cop was kind of hiding behind the dumpster and he was holding an assault rifle. I got my chicken and got the hell out of there. Saw more cop cars parked along 22, and another on North Bridge Street right by my office. Never did find out what was going on, but I figure they were probably doing a drill of some sort.

I amazed this made news. This kind of thing has been happening since day 1 of the retail industry. I'd be shocked if there wasn't a Best Buy or Circuit City where this didn't take place regularly.
