Junta is tough to find, but pretty awesome. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Junta_(game)

My favorite strategy game is Diplomacy - there is no chance (dice rolls, etc) in the game; it's all strategy. And you always have that one guy (usually playing France or Germany) who just screws with everyone....

I used to like Axis and Allies and its variants, but everyone kind of plays the same way now, so it's not really that fun anymore.

Also, the Lord of the Rings board game by Reiner Knizia- it's an AWESOME game if you're a Tolkien fan. And hard to win....

On a side note, has anyone ever played a COMPLETE game of Monopoly and actually enjoyed it?

Monopoly was one of my favourite games a few years ago, and we played a long game through. I think it lasted 6-8 hours before someone went bankrupt :D Took 12 hours to finish.

LOL... I was going to post that Candy Land was the last board game I played... lol

Dont Wake Daddy, was popular when my son was little too.

I haven't played any board games with adults except for Trival Pursuit.

awesome list. we play most of these. just picked up ticket to ride.
gotta put peurto rico in there
I'm aware of the high reputation of Puerto Rico, but I tend to play these games with my family (wife, mother, father, etc.) and I'm concerned that it will be too complex for them. We do enjoy San Juan though.
