They had a shelf full of snuff at the tobacconists, I should have had s look really!
Everything's gotten lamer the last few years due to governmental interference, and snuff has never been the target. It's gotten fallout from attacks on vaping and cigarettes. Unfortunately, you've missed the glory days. For a few your tobacconist almost certainly has...

McCrystals Original & Genuine - Medicated, but it's a nice warm menthol with citrus and spice

Wilsons of Sharrow SP - A British classic. Bergamot on a plain tobacco base. Defines British snuff.

Fribourg & Treyer Irish high dry toast - Light and nutty, and smells like toasty crackers. Easy to over snuff due to the very fine grind, but worth the effort.

For something you can get easily delivered to your door, Toque snuff...

Simpler design, with singular flavors for the most part. All top quality. I prefer to have someone blend flavor me, but that isn't really their thing. The proprietor, Roderick is a great guy, and very responsive to email queries. A few I like...

Whiskey & Honey
Toast & Marmalade
Cheese & Bacon - Very divisive scent! Opinions are highly polarized. Roderick doesn't even like it. He made it as half a joke, and the flavor took off :^D
Original - A bergamot SP
Spanish Gem - a homage to a handmade rustica snuff made by an old Spaniard who's almost certainly dead now. Much sweeter and more approachable than the original, though not as exciting as getting small amount of the original due to the difficult nature of acquisition.

You can hardly go wrong with any of them though, and it's certainly cheap enough. There's no accounting for taste, and finding what you personally like is great fun. As I said, it's all gotten lamer, so some foreign gems will be harder for you to get. I especially love Bernard's snuff from Germany, but you're lucky to live in Britain. Lots of great affordable choices, and they're probably the kings of snuff.

This is their snuff selection.
