I'm more than certain that most of y'all don't 1) smoke cigs 2) smoke b&m 3) smoke anything in general

But this is just to see what y'all think, and I don't want to hear shit about how smoking is bad because I've already heard it (I used to smoke cigs, but have since now stopped)

I smoked for almost 20 years, then I quit in '99

You know why? Cause smoking is bad

They have plastic tips, right? Probably why I never tried them. Those are wasteful, and useless. I like Backwoods for a cheap cigar, but it's been years since I got any.

They have the cheap ones that are plastic tip (literally only save like what, a quarter?)

I only buy the wood tips, usually the wine one

Calling black and milds cigars is like calling Boone's Farm wine. Bad habits take education and discernment. Smoking B and M's lack both.

:D Yeah, if somethings going to be bad for you you may as well make it worth doing!

I smoke the odd cigar (probably about 1 a week I guess). I usually smoke Romeo Y Julieta, mainly because;
A) They taste good
B) The local cigar shop sells tubed ones
C) They arent as expensive as Cohibas
D) I used to smoke them with my father in law when he was alive.

How cheap?
I dunno, honestly like 5 bucks? I literally know nothing about cigars

Max budget would prob be $10 per since it would be every once in a while thing

edit: I'd prob have a glass of whisky with it since I hear they're a good combo but again, i dont know shit

Smoking makes you an asshole or at least tells the world that you are an asshole. You shouldn't smoke or people will know that you're an asshole. Plus, smoking is bad.

I dont care if the world thinks I'm an asshole! I wont be able to hear it through the cloud of smugness generated by my cigar and glass of rum. :p

Is there a decent cigar shop near you? I dont know what the prices are in the US but I doubt that you'll get a decent Cuban for that.
Find a nice shop and they'll be more than happy to advise you!

Still can't get Cubans in the USA. A good Honduran or similar will run you around $8 ea. Really any of the Romeo y Julieta or Cohiba are good guesses. You're not going to know what you like so recommendations might suck.

:(

That's exactly what I'm popping out to get tomorrow! :)

Some tubed R&J number 2s and maybe some tubed Cohiba Robustos.
I love cigars, but have tried to avoid picking them up as a habit. I usually will have a handful over the span of a year, however just purchased a humidor and received a Cuban as a gift and bought a 10 pack of rocky patel 1999 vintage for a bachelor party. Probably will buy a variety pack just to keep around for when I have a laid back scotch or whisky night.

I dont smoke them very often but I enjoy them so I dont see the harm in the occasional one.

I've avoided getting any equipment and making it a hobby as I think that would up my consumption a lot! :D
I'm fairly lucky in that theres a shop with a walk in humidor full of Cubans up the road so I can just buy a few tubes from there and they last fine until I smoke them.

I prefer rum or brandy with cigars but then again thats probably just me as I prefer rum or brandy to whisky anyway.

I'm looking forward to sitting outside on warm summer nights with a rum and cigar! :D

You're in snuff land over there. You've got a lot of good choices that are almost free compared to other tobacco. I prefer the German style, but English snuff makes a strong second, and is first rate.

Snuff really doesn't appeal to me. I like a cigar for the taste and that you then have half an hour or so of contemplation while you smoke it.

Swishers are better than Black and mild.
One of my best summers ever as a kid was spent late at night, with 2 episodes of Soap, and two of Star Trek tos reruns, and I'd finish the night on the back porch and watch the lighted flag at the Legion across the street with a Swisher Sweet and a cup of instant coffee. I'm sure it wouldn't be as great today, but back then it was amazing.
