You just missed an awesome Hot Deal, the Palm Tungsten T3 for $199 - I think that's $200 below retail.

Enough to make a Ferengi $#@! his pants.
I grabbed a Tungsten C (with the built-in WiFi) for my wife the other day for $200 A/R. Not bad considering the MSRP is like $499. 😀

bastard 😛 i wont hate you if you sell it to me for...$50...??
Were you the guy that came into the store 30 min before my wife got there and were whining that the sales guy wouldn't give you the last one even though you'd driven "like 60 miles" to get it?

I called around, found a store that still had one, and had them hold it for me. 😀

so where can i find the best deal on an x3i?
dell has the usual 15% off all handhelds right now. you can try to find some one-time use coupons. i'd offer you one, but i threw all my dell catalogues out last week.

it'll be ~$270 with the $25off coupon. still a bit outta your range.

nah, i can go up higher, i just didnt want to at first 😛 i have about $600 of disposable income per month, and i wanted to get a sweet PDA, i just didnt think i would have the use for something expensive. but, for an extra 20-30 bucks, id say its worth it for the wifi

ok so when i add it to my cart, it has -8 for free shipping and -52 for 15% discount, but when i add my zip code for tax, the 15% discount goes away and it rockets to $370..WTF?!

i have my eyes on the 2215 and 1945. both in your price range.

you should really consider about sony clie then. you can get nx73v for $250 right now.
if you don't need bluetooth or wifi, you can save alot of this by buying a sony model.

sony runs on PalmOS platform, different from pocketpc, because you don't have to sell your soul to microsoft. 😀

TJ-35 maybe what you can consider getting.

personally, I have never own the TJ-series, but it is very light and small, should be able to fit into a shirt pocket. (don't think you can do this with PPC, esp bunky ppc). you can play mp3 with it, the screen is excellent. read the review of it. I am sure you can get it for a lower price. since there is a newer model TJ-37 coming out soon and the model has been out to the market for about 4 months now.

there is a high-end clie on sale at compusa for $250

Sony Clie NX73v

PIC
pic is in black, but can be in silver (most clie are in silver)

review

I have an older model nx70v, this may be what you are looking for. it has camera too. also a cf slot (you will need a cf driver in order to use the cf slot to play music.) the cf slot is intended for cf wifi card.

pm me for more advise, if you want to know about sony clie(there are more models that fit in your range). it seems to me that TJ-35 will fit you the best.

i got that today 😀

it was actually 220 + tax

trying to get wifi for 50-60 on ebay, the cf card can be used as storage and to play music from and make other sony apps read from with a patch/crack

Dell Axim rules!

I've had my X5 for over 6 months now, and love it! Coupled with a 128MB SD card & CF 802.11b card, it packs a powerful punch!

(Not to mention Palm OS isn't as nice as PPC 😀)

I am a palmos user and I found ppc hard to use. I played with a dell axim before, they are HUGE compare to the t665 I had before. keep that to yourself.
the only thing that I know about ppc is they are good at multitasking.
