Can I jump in with a couple questions too? I'm looking for something in the same range. I prefer something that I can use as a calendar, date book, address book, play some games, and important that it be a portible MP3 player as well. I hear good things about the X5....is the X3 junk?

x3 is not junk. its also great. less expandable since they dropped CF support, but its smaller and faster.Originally posted by: Staley8

I grabbed a Tungsten C (with the built-in WiFi) for my wife the other day for $200 A/R. Not bad considering the MSRP is like $499. 😀Originally posted by: RossMAN

You just missed an awesome Hot Deal, the Palm Tungsten T3 for $199 - I think that's $200 below retail.
Enough to make a Ferengi $#@! his pants.

if you guys aren't interested in wifi support (802.11 or bluetooth), i'd go with the x3.
if you guys want any wifi and are on a budget--check out the x5.
if you guys arent on a budget and can wait for a great ppc--wait for the new x3 with bluetooth & 802.11b support!!!!!!!
the basic x3 w/o 802.11b support is also a nice product that'll fit their needs (probably).Originally posted by: RossMAN
X5 - older model, not slim, accepts both CF and SD.
X3 - newer model, slimmer, offers integrated 802.11b WiFi but only accepts SD.
If I had the money I'd get the Axim X3i
If I wanted CHEAP I'd get the Axim X5 400MHz
If I wanted bling bling I'd get whatever NFS4 has (HP iPaq 4155 I think)

no word on it yet--FCC just approved it so it won't be for a while.Originally posted by: MrDudeMan

How is that confusing, do you mean because of the numbering scheme (higher numbers = better?)
X5 - OLDER
X3 - NEWER
