Bernie vs Hillary

Greetings all,

Tonight on CNN, a debate between these outstanding Democratic candidates takes place. Pull up a seat and feel the Bern!

As much as I want Bernie to win, I think Hillary does much better in the debates. She is better informed, especially when it comes to foreign policy. He dodges a lot of FP questions. I hate it when candidates dodge questions.

Because all the bern knows is...

I'm giving you free sh*t!
Someone else is gonna pay!

Yes, he's not a corporate whore like Hillary, but if by some chance he gets the nomination, he will be. There are plenty of uber rich libs that will donate to his campaign and they'll want something for their 'donations'.

How do you not win a debate against someone who openly takes in over a billion in donations to her foundation in exchange for over $100 billion in arms deals? The fact that even one single person (outside of those few who get rich off these deals) still supports her is proof that the electorate is dumbed down beyond repair. Bernie may be clueless on how to balance a budget or even the need for such, but at least he isnt racketeering 11 figure backroom deals.

I like Bernie, but I predict his campaign is going to end up with a "Close, but no cigar" finish. He has nice goals, but is short on details. To quote a song, "We'd all love to see the plan."

Hillary plays the game very well, I'm just sick of the game.

You do love lame ass conspiracy theory, that's for sure.

I'll be casting my vote the 19th in favor of Bernie. First time I've ever voted in a primary when I think about it.

Maybe so but it is mortal lock that this is the real presidential debate. The idea that Cruz or Trump have a ghost of chance in the general is laughable. There is a 0% chance of the Republicans winning the general with either of those buffoons. It is like they scoured America for the most unelectable candidates they could find. So only game in town is the Democratic nomination. The winner of that will be President. It is truly sad that Hillary is stealing it.

Stealing it? Is that why Ron Paul didn't get nominated? She's been getting more votes and more pledge delegates from the nomination process - I'd hardly call that "stealing" or "underhanded".

Bernie will be berned as of Tuesday when he loses NY and PA.

ROFL and Hillary doesn't dodge questions? You can't be serious? I suggest you watch this, I recommend watching the whole thing, but if you're impatient you can skip to around 6:25 Jon Swewart on Bernie entering campaign race and Hillary response to Clinton Foundation accusations. You can't get any more evasive than Hillary, she's the master at it.

I guess we'll see after tonight's democratic debate. It'll be interesting to watch.

P.S. I sure do miss Jon Stewart 🙁

let see, Clinton or one of the bozos on the republican side?
Idealistically I like Bernie, but he has too many pie in the sky ideas and handouts without details.

She's definitely the lesser of all evils, and has the experience and demeanor to be commander in chief, and won't have world leaders laughing at us.

The primary results have more or less matched the polls except that Bernie is actually doing better than predicted in some instances. So I don't know how you think she's 'stealing it' unless you think she's manipulating the votes AND the polling data from a bunch of different firms.

Agree with you that the clowns in the shitshow on the Republican side stand almost no chance of winning the general, though.

Their best chance is if Dems nominate Bernie, unfortunately. He's vulnerable in a lot of ways, not the least of which is that he'll be painted as a baby rapin' Jesus hatin' doddering old Leftist! Leftist! Leftist! who's "out of touch" with American Free Market! "values".

Hi Jaepheth,

Revolution by the Beatles! 🙂

I'M TIRED
of the media never holding the candidates accountable, on both sides republican and democrat.
MSNBC re-ran the town hall with Ted and his wife.
And the shit Ted claims, says, puts out there as fact the media never questions.
It drives me crazy! And after this election cycle, we'll all be ready for the nut house.
If we aren't already there.

I can't believe it.
Ted talked some crazy shit during that MSNBC hosted town hall, Ted made some ridiculous ignorant claims and remarks with no proof other than what he believes inside his teeny tiny bigoted little pinheaded brain.
And never once did host / moderator Chuck Todd call out Cruz on the shit coming out of Ted's mouth.
Chuck todd did what they all do, just let it stand as if it were fact.
And then people start to believe the all the bull is fact, and there we are.
A clueless and castrated news media never doing their job.
Doing the public a great disservice.

No wonder the country rally's around morons like Cruz and Trump, and Bush and Cheney, then later ask and wonder what the hell happen?
.

I never said she doesn't dodge questions. I watched the first 45-60 minutes of the debate last night before I had to turn it off. Hillary dodged the questions about the speaking transcripts, but by that point Bernie had dodged at least 5 questions. It is frustrating, but both of these candidates are still orders of magnitude better than anything the GOP has to offer, including all the candidates that have already dropped out. Gun control is the liberal equivalent of the conservative pro-choice issue in that regard.

Honestly, every Democrat needs to abandon the gun control issue. This is a stupid issue that drags the whole party down. Every Democrat candidate could come out and pledge that they will not pursue any form of gun control and not suffer in the polls because no sane Democrat voter is going to switch to GOP in that scenario. Meanwhile, they'd pick up a huge portion of independents that avoid Dems simply because any gun control initiative is painted as gun-grabbing.
