Berkeley Turns Stupid Up to 11: Cell Phone Radiation Ordinance

Funny I never see you going after the people on your side that do the same thing.

I love getting called out by the left, for doing what their side does.

Edit:

And its not really a strawman, you've been here long enough to know that you guys on the left here think everyone that disagrees with you suffers from Moonbeams made up disorder, and is driven by nothing more then fear and irrationality.

You have a brain defect that blocks your understanding of things you find painful to face. The CBD isn't a made up disorder, it's a scientific fact the consequences of which are insanity. I and I alone call that a disorder. I and I alone call it insane. I have made that clear over and over again.

I have also made it clear that the CBD is more common among conservatives than liberals but not exclusively so, that liberals suffer from fears of things they imagine, just as conservatives do more often.

I have also made it clear that while conservatives are almost impossible to convince they are insane,, you can convince a liberal of that by the use of logical reasoning. When my beautiful niece was in trauma over fears of vaccinating her children, it took me twenty minutes to do so willingly and with no more fear. You, my dear nut bar are incapable of such a thing.

Berkeley is weird and they like it that way. Seems like a stupid but largely harmless law. It's not like people in Berkeley are going to give up their cell phones. There are far worse laws across the country that actually hurt people.

Agree on the"stupid but largely harmless" characterization. I can't wait for the sequels to this law, like the required warning stickers on flashlights saying "this product emits electro-magnetic radiation."

Meh, they can just put a warning sticker underneath the Prop 65 warning sticker that is on everything.

I think the warning sticker needs a warning sticker alerting consumers that a warning sticker could cause stress.

Do you understand the difference between ionizing radiation and non-ionizing radiation?

Ionizing radiation can and does give you cancer. There is no evidence that non-ionizing radiation like cell phone radiation gives you cancer.

Its not quite that simple. Bypass the door cutoff on a microwave, stick your head inside and turn it on.

Then come back and tell us that non ionising radiation is harmless. 😛

This ordinance is stupid.

That is true, all phones have to meet SAR level tests already.

Plus, everyone should have to sign a document acknowledging that they read the warning stickers. It might be best to have it notarized too.

That's dangerous but it's not carcinogenic. The microwave will cause burns because it heats stuff up by putting out a lot of power.

Berkley Turns Stupid Up to 11: Cell Phone Radiation Ordinance .It seems like Berkley is going for broke in this year's running of stupidest city ordinances. Better watch out for that scary cell phone radiation 🙄

Speaking of stupid, it's spelled Berkeley.
And you can thank Berkeley for starting lots of national trends that benefit you, like no smoking in restaurants, the soda tax, curbside recycling, etc..

You can thank the residents of Berkeley later.

Really? Tell that to all of the police that got cancer from their radar guns.

Do you mean the cops who sued about that but had their cases dismissed because there is no scientific evidence that supports the idea that non ionizing radiation causes cancer?

There is no getting around it. This is stupid

My apologizes to you, Mr. Spelling Nazi.

Any evidence to back that up? Microwaves are non-ionizing, so they can not directly induce DNA damage the way UV light can. In addition to the fact that they are low-power devices, the wavelengths used would only penetrate anywhere between a few millimeters up to a centimeter. Perhaps you have another plausible mechanism in which nonionizing radiation will cause cancer or come up with some studies showing this anecdotal link to be true.

They should have to take an online quiz about the content of the warning sticker to make sure they read it.

The last time I leased a car the dealership presented me with a piece of paper with multiple lines to initial to confirm that I had signed all the other pieces of paper presented to me. There were about 20 spots I needed to initial. One for each document. And of course I had to sign the bottom of that one.

I'm not kidding.

I asked if there was another piece of paper where I had to confirm that I had in fact signed the one requiring all the initials. I was told, "not yet".

No it's not. All of the scientists who are paid to invent a global warming catastrophe are being paid to deny this terrible real threat. The consensus science that global warming is real is just as fake as the science that denies cell phone radiation is dangerous. Do not fall for this consensus crap. This is all about science grants and slurping up corporate money to protect the cell phone industry that doesn't care at all how many people die of brain cancer.

This law is so absolutely terrifying and freedom-destroying, that it is clearly, I repeat clearly, a stupid law on steroids.

Next someone will start claiming that a previous abortion increases someone's risk for cancer and mandate spreading that incorrect information to women seeking an abortion!!

Slippery slopes are slippery, comrades!

Cell phones cause abortions, my friend. The people who carry cell phones are communist agents.

Don't even get me started on fluoridation and the pollution of our precious bodily fluids. Damn communist infiltration is ruining this country.

wasn't this the result of a change in the "fine print" disclaimer warning packaged with every new cell phone?? Mfgr's. are trying to limit liability because they know they have a problem.
