I knew I would jinx it. I just said in another thread that it's starting to look like Berkeley has worked out the bandwidth problem. 4.52 Mbits/sec at the moment. 🙁

You better not do that, you never know he could know a way of putting his user info in the WUs instead of yours!

Probably just best to leave them be until the smokey balled jinx has worn off 😉🙂

Man, it was running soooo good earlier today.. i swear i uploaded 10 WU's in like a single minute.. it was flying.. 1 WU would take like 4 seconds or less to upload, it was quite pleasing to see! 😀

It seemed so fast and trouble free i thought for sure it'd be fixed for good... WHY DO THEY KEEP GOING DOWN.. aaaaahhhhh!!

I hope I can get all my WU in before tomorrow cause I want a really big day to celebrate my 9900 milestone 🙂 and then the 10K right after!!

WHY DO THEY KEEP GOING DOWN

uhmmm... they are using computers remember... know anything about Murphy's laws of computing? Add to that the fact they are networking a group of 3.6 million users... I'm surprised they are ever UP!!!

I couldn't believe it when I found it down/slow.. the luck/timing of it.. I was just about to assimilate a 1.7 GHz P4 at work. :disgust:
 
I've got one Compaq P4 1.7G computer that was devastated on Friday with a virus. Took many hours to reformat and reinstall the factory settings.

Well I also was trying to get that computer to get its initial WU tonight through my Q but no soap with S@H down. We are spiking up with the bandwidth at this moment: 31.14 Mbits so stuff ought to start flowing.

I thought the newer versions of SETIQ allowed a new client to connect to your Q & not have to pass through to get your own user_info?

2.0 Handle "lookup user" requests locally if possible (without performing a passthrough)

Or have I got my wires crossed?

It did finally send a WU and bring one down but the stats page doesn't show the uploaded WU...wonder if it errored out somehow. I wasn't watching when it sent. And, I've never had a problem refreshing the stats page after uploading a WU.

I'm having a very big number ( 4 digits 😉) of wu's waiting to be send to Berkely..
But no, ofcourse this is happening again 🙁
The problem is we can't receive anything ofcourse... So everything just stopped 🙁
Is there anyone having about 2000 wu's in a Queue? 🙂
 
I've just started noticing some DUPLICATES showing up. I seem to remember there was a problem a while back when Berk was having troubles that caused some WUs to be rejected and indentified that way. So far it has only happened to one of my teammates. His last three WUs were rejected and added to the DUPLICATE FOLDER in the TS Q.

We seem to have found the problem on the Dups ... our end. 😉
 
Berkeley has still been a bit slow during the off-peak hours the past couple nights... Hope it's not building up to something... 🙁
 
I've figured it out.....It's the attack of the GOOGLE BOTS again.

Their hitting eveyone by looking at logs for most of the Q's

I can't imagine the load it must put on Berkeley 🙁

Google will be the down fall of the internet as we know it

ANY 216.239.46.XXX IS A GOOGLE BOT...........CHECK YOUR LOGS EVERYONE

I really do feel this has a lot to do with the bandwith and 'server drop connects' at Berkeley


 
with 170 users and 10,000 wu's in verious stages of completion this is a minimal of 170,000+ possible web pages that SetiQ could generate and google seems to want to look at them all


Got that link to making your own begining web page for SetiQ?
