Check out the video timestamp timeline:

13:26 - Berg states his and his father's name. Seated in plastic patio chair in orange jumpsuit. Shot taken from a side angle.

2:18 - Seated in same chair, same jumpsuit, shot taken from the front. Berg identifies his family and where he lives.

2:40 - Berg is seated quietly on the floor in front of five masked men. All the men seem very well fed and the exposed skin rather pale for a bunch of islamic terrorists on the run. The middle guy appears to be reading from two pages of prepared text, although he is continually turning the pages over and over and over, his actions making it completely impossible for anyone to read anything from those papers. The video is too grainy to tell if the guy's mouth is moving.

2:44 - The shot angle has not changed - the middle guy is still 'reading' from his papers. Wild screaming starts on the soundtrack, but none of the masked men seem to notice it, and Berg is still sitting very quietly in front of them. He has not moved at all during these four minutes.

2:45 - the middle guy draws a knife from his jacket, pushes Berg over, and the camera suddenly zooms into such a tight closeup that the screen goes black. The timestamp abruptly changes here.

13:45 - the camera pulls back to reveal Berg utterly motionless, being manhandled by the attackers. An assailant with a black mask draws the knife across the throat, while an assailant with a white mask sits on the motionless body. The soundtrack has several people shouting "allahu akbar", but the opinion of native Iraqi speakers who have heard it is that the accents are NOT Iraqui, more likely arabic or arabic as second language.

13:46 - screaming escalates on the soundtrack yet the windpipe has quite clearly already been completely severed by the knife-weilding assailant with the Black Mask, the head being connected only by the spine. No screaming is physically possible at that point, yet it mysteriously continues, much the way it started. White Mask assailant still stitting on the motionless body, doing nothing.

13:47 - There is another in/out camera zoom and suddenly it is the White Mask assailant, not the Black Mask one, that steps away from the body, knife in hand, holding the head aloft. No blood anywhere. At this point, the timestamp and the camera angle abruptly change again.

2:41 - Berg's head held aloft by White Mask, different angle, no blood. Curious - what day is this? As previously noted, during the 2:40 through 2:44 period, Berg could be seen alive, seated quietly in front of his captors as they 'read' their statement.

13:48 - timestamp and shot abruptly change again. Now we get shot of head resting on top of the prone body, with a zoom on the body's severed neck. Everything is very clean, completely inconsistent with the forensic reality of decapitation.

Alot of things dont add up. And I dont think anyone not in govt/military has seen the body either. One thing for sure though is, the Berg video is heavily edited, more so than the Pearl video.

You know...half those things you mentioned I never noticed until I read your post. I just watched it a couple more times, and something is definately fishy. The wierdest part to me was at the end when the guy cutting off his head changes to the guy with the white hood. I figured maybe once they beheaded him, the guy holding him just took the head, but why would he have the knife in his hand too?

Like you Don_Vito, I'm not ready to buy into any conspiracy theories just yet, but more than a few things are downright strange.

Just curious Cad... What exactly is funny about this guy getting killed? Some of us here aren't suggesting any sort of conspiracy, just noticing that there are a lot of strange circumstances surrounding this man's death. The points Don_Vito made here are all valid, and if you watch the video, he is right. I'm not sure why any of that is funny? I don't think this is some grand scheme masterminded by Bush or something, but if you have two eyes, it's easy to see there are some things that don't add up here.

But hey, if you think it's all a big joke....more power to you.

Since I was the one doing the laughing, and NOT Cad as is readily apparent, I'll answer your question. There is not a damned thing funny about Berg suffering such a horrible death. What IS comical is the hilarious antics of some who see boogeymen behind every Bush.

 lighten up etech...ummm I mean I3D

I was responding to formatC: if you didn't notice.

I was NOT saying this Berg thing was funny nor was I saying that you or DV were saying it was a conspiracy. I also didn't say the points brought up weren't valid.
But if you want to rant - go ahead - I can take it.:)

That may well be, but I can only speak for myself, and I am not saying there is a cospiracy going on, nor am I accusing Bush of having anything to do with it. I'm simply noticing several things that are strange about this whole event. If you look at a post like Don_Vito's, and watch the video, it's abudantly clear that more than a couple things are strange about that video, and the whole circumstances surrounding it.

Sure Cad....you telling me to lighten up...riiiiiiiight. I did notice you were responding to Format C:, and I also noticed that neither of you bothered to address the topic @ hand. I'm not ranting as there is nothing here worth ranting about...

Regardless, I should have remembered P&N has descended into nothing more than a bitch and ad hom attack-fest, and no real discussion goes on anymore...*shrug*

Has it occurred to anyone that more than one camera may have been used?

Hey Caddy boi, i thought you had a problem with Elite members and their ability to not get banned?

Of course, as always with the sheep, it is only those you disagree with that you you want gone.

Indeed, if there is something more to the story, let's not hear about it, who knows, we might find something out that we don't want to know.

What are you rambling about? Yes, there are a few "untouchables" for obvious reasons, but not all "elite" members are such. Now what does that have to do with what I posted? Oh, that's right...nothing. Like I said to I3D - rant away - I can take it:D

**********
I3D- I'll be seeing you in other threads then when someone responds to a post that didn't directly address the points brought up in the thread....or maybe I won't;)

I have no problem with people speculating regarding the time issue and the other items in question - I've already thought about it myself and haven't made a judgement on them yet. However there are some who will run wild with this and formatC: provided some humor with his "boo" comment. If you can't handle it -then that is your problem. He was not making fun about the Berg issue IMO - it was about the conspiracy nuts that are everpresent here and I played along. Sorry for tapping your knee...good thing you weren't wearing steel toed boots...

Must've been. Probably why I accidentally capitalized it.
