Yup, and he just bought his "son" $300 beats headphones. Totally living within his means.
 
The house wasn't the problem, it was $40k plus of school loans going from 5-6% to 26.99%

Lol... "School loans". Should we assume you me college loans? The only way you'd see a 20% rate hike on those, ESPECIALLY overt the last 10 years where the average rate has been under 5%, would be if you defaulted on those too. Unless you get all your loans from Ed's Pawn & Loan that is.
