MRSA/VRSA are methicillin and vancomycin resistant staphylococcus aureus. Those are bacteria. Influenza (the flu) is a viral infection for which antibiotics will have no positive effect.
Antibiotics won't promote the survival of "better viruses".

Sure. The influenza viruses are very rapidly mutating viruses. Each year, a flu shot is prepared anticipating which strains will become prevalent for the next flu season. Does this put selection pressure on the virus? Some. But the big scare for the next superflu is that a virus will jump hosts from bird->human and meld its genetic material with human strains. Viruses don't work the same way that bacteria do. Antibiotics are so dangerous with bacteria because there are so many ways bacteria can acquire new genetic material and spread resistance.

In the future, when we have research needs involving deathless natural selection, or the effect of antibiotics in creating super viruses, we all certainly know where to go! "ROFLMAO" just doesn't cut it sometimes.
