I have repeatedly said that in many cases, laziness plays a big part in peoples inability to lose weight. But, in some cases, metabolism and other factors are what make a person or people fat. Our society as a whole should change so that the obesity epidemic can be stopped, but people should be more educated when it comes to how the body deals with fat.
Society does not need to change. INDIVIDUALS need to change.
Cheap food is a GOOD thing. For thousands of years, we cried that the poor could not afford to eat. Now everyone can afford to get fat.
Automation is a GOOD thing. It makes us all more productive and brings far more goods to lower income people.
The problem is with the individual. Society is just fine.
I have to agree, plus I don't see what the hell you'd change to stop the obesity "epidemic". I'm going postal if beer and pizza are outlawed....half the reason I ride a bike is so I can enjoy such things.
I never said anything about outlawing foods or anything, if so many are getting fat, as you all have stated, then how is it the individual? I mean, some of it may be the individual, but not all of it.
No, it is all the individual. If many people are dying from smoking, does society need to change, or the individuals? The cause of obesity is too little activity and/or too much food. That's it. Those are INDIVIDUAL obligations.
Amused... you should change your name to Aynranded....
Society
is changing... look at the Atkins movement... the food available to us changes based upon the demand of the population... you may want Pizza and Beer, but as the population of fat people increases, the demand for healthy foods will increase... and access to your beloved fast food, pizza and beer will decrease.... sorry man... that's free market in action.
(Wait a sec... did I just say access to beer will decrease?... Jesus christ! no! I'll have to see about instituting a fascist beer-based regime... beer before all else!)
BTW I did Shoulders and Back today.... shoulders always absolutely murders me, and old football back injuries don't help either... I think I'll just sit here and quietly cry to myself...
