Think about it for a second. It's probably an item that they don't sell in huge volumes, so that means they have to up the price of individual items more than they would for individual items that they sell in much larger quantities. Couple that with BB's high overhead. Couple that with BB's being a publicly traded company. Being publicly traded means that if they don't hit their projected sales each quarter, their stock takes a dive and corporate loses money (and upper management loses things like their nice cushy bonuses).
Best Buy isn't responsible for their customers choosing to pay $600 more; it's the customer's money and the customer's choice what they want to do with it. If they want to buy a $2 item for $2,000,000,000, then it's their choice and the company that sells it to them isn't "evil" or whatever you're trying to push because of it.
