This past year, I started having issues with beer. I noticed that if I drink a bottle/can of beer, I feel the need to cough. It's like a tickle in my upper respiratory system that makes me feel like I want to cough to dislodge phlegm or whatever.
This is a little concerning to me because beer is a part of my balanced breakfast and daily fitness routine. My wife went and turned all celiac on me, which has benefits (more mexican food, tighter abs, less beer drinking by her and more tequila)....so I actually sampled a few Gluten Free beers that aren't bad...but they're expensive. I've noticed that I don't have the coughing issues with those sorghum beers, or at least I don't think I do.
I don't think I have an allergy to gluten, but let's call this weirdness a food sensitivity that I didn't have in my 20s and 30s.... I was going into coughing fits last year and I think it may have been a combination of beer + me being 20lbs overweight due to my badass cooking and staying in.
Just curious if others have this kind of problem with beer these days.
