Ha! I've just worked out the "etymology" of that sign! I'm such a dumb arse!

Beer is good for boiling brats but not much else.
I simmer them in sacrificial Budweiser....it's usually one of the few times I would actually buy Budweiser is for simmering brats. As I said earlier, Budweiser is still a better drinking beer than many of the light beers. I want to say drinking too much of the really light or yellow beers can sometimes be like drinking too much apple juice...I get like some kind of acidity aftertaste I don't like from the hops/light malts. I used to could drink one or two of them, but upwards of a six pack is no bueno. I'm glad I'm past all that nonsense and much more focused now...save calories and drinking is more enjoyable in moderation.Brats boiling in beer right now. Life is good.
Spirits and Cocktails don't quench thirst. Lawnmower beer and a cold one in the garage while tinkering with stuff is pretty legit.Pretty much this. Though I do like a Guinness occasionally or another pretty thick stout. Spirits and cocktails are where the good times are.

Only if I get to rim the glass with spice brown mustard....You should save the Bud after simmering the brats, let it cool, then drink it! I bet it would taste... interesting.
Skim the fat from the brats off first? You should save the Bud after simmering the brats, let it cool, then drink it! I bet it would taste... interesting.
Is that one of those scams like people selling Dehydrated Water?Have You Tried Alcohol free beer
