Disney does this and it works for them. I have not double dipped on a DVD from them at all and do not mind buying them on Blu-ray.

Double dipping is what they have done with The Lord of the Rings on Blu-ray, release the regular version KNOWING there is an extended version they are going to release about a year later.

yes, but the point, is that this 'vault' is never sealed. You have to know this by now. They ALWAYS re-release some flicks when they need a quick hit revenue stream or whatever. You can say this isn't true double-dipping b/c they rarely make new prints or more content, sure, so...I guess Disney's scam is actually worse than double-dipping?

Meh, zero interest in this one. Wake me when they release The Fox And The Hound on Blu.

It was tough going against Silence of the Lambs though. Either one could have won it.

1994 was another tough year, with Pulp Fiction, Forrest Gump, and Shawshank.

It should not have been tough at all, but they gave it to the worst film on that list. 😵

Beauty and the Beast isn't 100% hand drawn animation though. It's a combo of hand drawn and computer animation. Could be why it looks so good.

No, animated by hand is still benifiting.
Look at the detail, these were painted for the big screen.

I ordered it this morning from BB for in-store pick-up for $7.50. Was too chicken to try the coupon as well for fear they might decide the $7.50 was wrong. Can't get the URL to work but there's clickable link on the Toy Story 3 page. Link.

Toy Story 3 combo pk Blu-ray is also $7.50 there. Link.

Link for TS3 worked but not for B&tB. Search on BB site yield $24.99.

Edit: N/M I saw your edit.

For some reason I can't get it to work but there's a link on the Toy Story 3 page at the right side where it says something along the lines of "people who viewed this also bought."

This is the link only without the http and www stuff. bestbuy.com/site/Beauty+%26+The+Beast+Combo+Pk+Pre-Sell+-+Blu-ray+Disc/1156932.p?skuId=1156932&ky=2kguxTpWWYo54axIml8HzrSn9CTjyTmcc&cmp=RMX&id=2136029

This is not for the movie itself. It's just the pre-order for the movie where you get a steelbook case. I paid $7.50 to pre-order beauty and the beast so I could get the free steelbook. I will promptly get my money back and keep the case, which is totally legit. The steelbook is just a free gift for pre-ordering there. Will do this for Toy Story too.

Well, it says "Beauty & The Beast Combo Pk Pre-Sell- Blu-ray Disc" not "Beauty & the Beast Case" and the Blu-ray disc set is what I got.

The Toy Story one even says:

"Toy Story 3 Combo Pk Pre-Sell- Blu-ray Disc
Special Offers:
Free Collectible Case: Find Out How
Free Shipping "

Shrug. Worked for me.

Lion King is quite good. I think these were their 3 best, though (Lion King, Alladin, B&tB) pretty stellar. Eh, also Fox and the Hound, I guess.

Pixar has pretty much destroyed Disney, though. Disney's best looks like droll, melodramatic drivel next to most of Pixar's work.

Jungle Book > Robin Hood > *

So you were able to order it - did you pick it up and get the actual blu-ray movie for $7.50?

Yes. I ordered online for store pick-up. . Picked it up and got the Diamond Edition 3-disc combo pk. Chalk it up to BB employee error? Worth a try for the rest of you? Up to you.

The Documentary on BD 2 has sound dropouts and then freezing problems.
Anyone else having them?
I've already found a few users having the same problem.
🙁

OK, I bit on that. Will see if they honor it tomorrow when I go and pick up.

Ugh, WTF @ embedding a bunch of big pics like that instead of linking them.

I have to say, I was pretty blown away by the picture quality of Snow White on Blu-Ray that I saw on AVSforum, good to see they seem to be aiming to keep that up.
