"the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency?nay?the very existence of George W. Bush".

It looks to me that bds, while initially a "joke" has become more prevelent among many here in America(and even some abroad). Even during the height of negativity towards Clinton, there wasn't this level of hatred. While many of use disliked his policies and actions - it wasn't a reactionary hatred for the most part(minus the fringes who always have their panties in a bunch).

Odd, I thought I was the one that started BDS?

Having the most prominent case doesn't mean you started it 😀

too many threads get derailed when libs obfuscate and deflect to Bush when he has absolutely nothing to do with the original discussion

QFT.

Can I count on the both of you to call 'foul' when Clinton is brought up in a Bush thread?

I agree with the OP.

Bush is the most hated US president over the past 50 years IMO, aside from perhaps Nixon.

Clinton didn't really create any waves while he was in control. The US was not at war during his presidency, and world affairs were much more stable.

Clinton is also incredibly charismatic and intelligent; Bush strikes me as more abrasive, aloof, and simple-minded.

I'm not too sure I see the value in the comparison, or why the OP is interested in it.

You must not have read the OP or the thread if you decided to post the above.

No, try reading what BDS is. It isn't about disagreeing with Bush - it's about the irrational hatred no matter what.

It is not surprising that BDS sufferers can't grasp the relevance of this thread. BDS has terrible symptoms. :shrug; I guess all I can do is try to help...

You're calling my reasons irrational?

Seeing as you want to help...please inform us why we should love GWB so much.

BDS is about the irrational hatred of Bush.
I never suggested anyone should love Bush.

BDS? Bush Defensive Syndrome. The inability of the Bush followers to admit they have been collossal fools? There is a more accurate psychiatric label, but I forget.
