I'm kinda nervous right now, don't know how the standings will turn out. Texas might overrun Cal, and that better not happen :( (Cal fan here)

BUT, here is how it should turn out:

Orange Bowl: USC vs Oklahoma
Sugar Bowl: Auburn vs Virginia Tech
Rose Bowl: Cal (hopefully) or Texas vs Michigan
Fiesta Bowl- Utah vs Pittsburgh

I hate the BCS, the NCAA needs a playoff. this is ridiculous, so many deserving teams don't get what they deserver out of the BCS.

What is the big opposition to having playoffs? Wouldn't it solve everything? Stupid BCS. It seems like every year it creates a mess at the end.

big opposition to playoffs? the school presidents make a lot of money with the current system and they don't want to lose it.

i hope texas jumps cal.

they did, letting OK who didnt win their own conference to the title game was a travesty

HA! If i remember correctly USC got a split of the national championship... Auburn isn't going to get a damn thing.

Well, if Auburn is in the Orange Bowl, then who should be left out? USC or OU?

IMO, all three should have a shot at the National Championship. Not having a playoffs is about as stupid as it gets. How many years are we going to go over this same issue? Every year they say they will fix it and every year we have the same stupid situation. It's so stupid it's laughable. How can anyone even take the National title seriously when the best teams haven't even competed to win it?

every year the same thing? this is only the 2nd year. the system was in play to put #1 against #2. the media has spoken, the coaches have spoken. #1 is playing #2. blame the voters, not the system.

I'm talking about not having a playoffs. The controversies surrounding who is or should be the National Champion have been around for as long as I can remember it seems. Maybe not every year it's controversy, but it happens often enough to warrant a playoffs.

Edit: And why blame the voters? They are just participating in the system that's in place. Yes, there is bias and favoritism by the voters but it's the system that's at fault, not the voters. Change the system to a playoffs system and this kind of controversy goes away.

Yeah, I'm hoping for the Sooners to dismantle the Trojans. That's the only way Auburn has a shot at a share of the National Title (AP voters)
