Cal better be sucking the c0ck of Auburn. They've been whining about how great the BCS was all year long. Now they get screwed and get to see the wrath.
Turns out the official BCS site got the pairings wrong.
USC and Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl
Auburn and Virginia Tech in the Sugar Bowl
Utah and Pittsburgh in the Fiesta Bowl
Michigan and Texas in the Rose Bowl
Pretty embarrasing for the BCS.
Yeah, I'm pissed off. Cal lost a game, they didn't answer the call. Auburn has done everything everybody asked of them. "Well, if they beat Alabama, then I'll believe in them." Well, we hung 21 points on the #2 defense in the nation and won in their house. After that didn't convince folks it was: "Well, if they beat UT again in Atlanta, then I'll believe they are for real" Well, AU won and still didn't get the respect. The Sugar Bowl is a piss-poor consolation prize for an undefeated season from a major college football conference.
All we can do is hate the system, no bickering please...blame the damn fvcking computers, Cal came up no. 4 on all the human polls.
I don't understand how Texas moving up in the BCS bumps Cal out of the Rose Bowl. Can someone explain? (honest question)
Cal outplayed USC by far and was WITHIN a play of defeating them, AT USC! I wish voters would take that into consideration before voting for Texas, which got raped by OU.
:beer:There are 8 spots in the BCS. 6 major conference champions are guaranteed spots (USC as Pac 10 champion, Oklahoma from the Big 12, Auburn as the SEC champion, Virginia Tech as the ACC champion, Michigan as the Big 10 champion, and Pittsburgh from the Big East). There are 2 spots left, and certain rules for picking those teams. If both at-large spots are used before all the rules are exhausted, the other teams are left out.
1. Teams in 1st and 2nd are guaranteed at large berths if they aren't already conference champions. (doesn't apply this year).
2. If any teams from non BCS conferences finish in the top 6, they get an at large bid. Utah got 6th and so are guaranteed.
3. A team in 3rd is guaranteed. (doesn't apply this year)
4. A team in 4th is guaranteed. (Texas gets this).
5. Any team in the top 12 and with 9 wins.
Utah and Texas get both at-large bids, and Cal in 5th gets left out. Before this week, Cal was 4th, and Texas would have been left out.
He's stereotyping that all people who go to Cal are nerds, and therefore have no lives and don't like sports..which is definitely NOT TRUE...
That may be true, because most girls who go to the games are bandwagon fans anyway, lol. But it doesn't deny the fact that Cal is an outstanding football team.
