I've never been one of the people that says a team that doesn't win it's own conference shouldn't be able to play in the BCS championship game.
I think, clearly , LSU and Alabama are the two dominant defenses, and perhaps teams, this year.
LSU, in going undefeated - deserves a spot in the title game - no questions asked.
Alabama, though - personally, I think they are better than Oklahoma St is - but I'm not sure they deserve a rematch.
Ranked teams beaten? Oklahoma St wins 4 to 2. Strength of schedule - Oklahoma St 10th, Alabama 38th.
If it's Alabama v LSU in the title game - and Alabama wins - then what? They are the champs because they split with LSU? - For the record, I do believe Alabama wins in a rematch -they should have won the first game, and I think Miles, for all the great players he has, makes some really questionable moves.
(yes, a playoff solves this problem, but let's face it, it't not happening anytime soon).
LSU v Oklahoma St is a game I'd rather see - I'm not sure Ok.St can stop LSU from running the ball, but I'm guessing they could put some points on the board and at least make it interesting.
LSU's and Alabama's defenses are full of future NFL players (so are their O-lines and other skill positions for that matter) - no question about that - but for such dominant teams, they really have crappy to average at best QB play.
