I think Bama will fall to LSU. Even if they win, they still have to win the SEC Championship Game.

Texas Tech might lose to OU AND Okie St. Penn State is still looking good for the NCG, IMO.

I think it is very possible that a 1 loss Big12/SEC team gets in ahead of Penn State.

What possible merit could a 1 loss big12 team have to get in over an undefeated penn state?

The best non-conference win for the big12 was mizzou by 10 points over a disappointing illinois team. Not a single team in the big12 has a defense, which just makes half the teams in the conference look good by putting up 100 points a game. Do you really think there are 4 teams in the big12 that deserve to be in the top 10? I think it's a little more likely that they are all overrated.

ohh the mighty SEC has only 4 teams in the top 25, same as the ACC, unpossible.

lol. You're comparing the ACC to the SEC when the highest ranked ACC team is 19th? The ACC sucks and UF is going roll over FSU, and Georgia is going to light up Georgia Tech.

edit: Oh, and South Carolina is going to kill Clemson, too :p

Me too, if they were to play an SEC team it would be a complete blowout like the last 2 years. Everyone in the SEC is no longer in the top 25 because it's the most difficult of any conference, we beat each other.

I want to see an SEC team play there again, whether it's UF or Bama, so that it's another embarrassment game. Maybe if this shit keeps happening the BCS will go away.

Or maybe if a 1 loss florida blows out whoever they play, and Texas Tech beats down Penn State things will change.

All I know is that the BCS and the little 11 suck.

While I agree with you that the SEC is probably the best conference, using the argument that "we beat each other" is pretty stupid. That doesn't mean the teams are good.. that just means there are several teams on an equal skill level. The big12 is doing the same thing.. does that mean they are all good teams? I think it means they all suck. The only way to compare teams from different conferences is to compare wins vs. identical teams, and to look at out of conference wins.

Look at the SEC this year... Florida losing to ole miss. You can't possibly tell me ole miss is a powerhouse of a team that "beats up" on the rest of the SEC. Auburn absolutely blows.. a team that was highly ranked to start the season. Vandy lost to duke. LSU got smoked by georgia, and georgia got smoked by florida. I think florida is gonna own bama.

The whole thing is just stupid without a playoff.

I'm not saying it should happen, just that it is a possibility. If Alabama wins out, and Oklahoma wins out as well (with a little help from Texas Tech beating Oklahoma St. so that Oklahoma gets to the Big12 championship) it is possible that OU would pass Penn State.

Penn State is already behind 1 loss Texas in the computers. OU would have ended the season beating Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, and Missouri. In addition, they have already beaten current #11 TCU. This will give them a huge boost from the computers. A 1 loss OU is probably rated #2 by the computers, Texas #3, Penn State #4. In addition, Utah is within striking distance of Penn State in some of the computer polls. If Utah wins out, it is possible that they may pass Penn State in some of the computers since two of their last games are against #11 TCU and #17 BYU.

Under the previous scenario, it is possible that OU gets in ahead of Penn State if the human polls end Alabama #1, Penn State #2, OU #3.

As a Penn State fan my fear is that an undefeated Penn State will be kept out of the NCG by two 1 Loss teams; and I could absolutely see that happening.

As a penn state fan, I would hate to see it happen, but it might be the only thing to make the big10 collective pull their heads out of their asses and vote for a playoff. JoePa wants one.

Why is everyone all over the big12's nuts this year? If there is a conference that should be more embarrassed about their bowl play in the last couple years, it should be the big12, not the big10.

Lets see... oklahoma has lost their last 4 bowl games, 2 of them being national championship games. Nebraska lost a championship game. Texas is about the only team to prove themselves as not being completely worthless.

overall BCS bowl history:

Texas A&M (0-1)
Nebraska (1-1)
Oklahoma (2-4)
Colorado (0-1)
Kansas State (0-1)
Texas (2-0)
Kansas (1-0)

SEC:

Tennessee (1-1)
Florida (3-1)
Alabama (0-1)
LSU (4-0)
Georgia (2-1)
Auburn (1-0)

Big10:
Wisconsin (2-0)
Ohio State (4-2)
Michigan (1-3)
Purdue (0-1)
Illinois (0-2)
Iowa (0-1)
Penn State (1-0)

Why do people hate on the big10 so much? The big12 is just as bad.

SEC >> big10 = big12 > pac10/acc

the odds of both TT and bama running the table aren't great, though either of Florida or Texas or ou or even utah (doubt it) could beat out penn state in the computers and sneak in with 1 loss.

Um, perhaps it is because the Big 12 has the most prolific offenses in the country?

Let's pit Bama defense against Sam Bradford, Chase Daniel, and Graham Harrell, in consecutive weeks, and see where they end up statistically (as well as W-L)

USC opponents are ONE-win WashU, ZERO-win (yes ZERO) Wash, and SQUEAKED by 5-3 Arizona. a Florida high school club could stop those opponents just the same

Penn State should schedule better before they can complain

considering that the minor contenders/traditional powers of the big 10 flopped (lol michigan) i'm not going to hate on them that much. They still have a game against mich state at #16 which shudl help their sos a little bit.
