Did the NCAA ever do anything about the recent Reggie Bush scandal?

They can't do anything about it really. They can possibly punish USC in the future (if they feel they were heavily involved), but you can't change history.

Wanna bet?

They may never change a single opinion about who should be the champion of a season or who should be the Heisman winner for that season, but they sure as hell can change the official outcome of both, that's why these rules exist. The Heisman committee answers to the NCAA and plays by their same integirty rules actually.

Yes I know it's happening all over the country in schools 10-times smaller then USC, and yes I know they are probably singling him over the lesser known athletes, and of course the agents were only trying to get in good with him for his NFL years.... but rules are rules and he shouldn't have accepted any of that.

Yes, they can strip him of his Heisman...but they can't rewrite history. They never have, and never will. They had an article that mentioned this on ESPN's website.

I think this is another 3 teams undefeated season... either osu or um will do it... usc might, and either uf(although they have the hardest 3 game stretch in the history of college football coming up), or maybe a west virginia will end up undefeated as well. it's going to be interesting.

here's a question- if you are a nfl gm and you had the pick of manningham, ginn or c. johnson as a reciever next year... who would you take?

id pick Tony Gonzalez.

You'd be fired instantly. :)

Calvin Johnson is ready to play in the NFL. Manningham doesn't have the body but he runs good routes. Ginn still hasn't lived up to what I thought he would be at this point in his college career.

Sure they can. Alabama had to forfeit numerous games in either 1993 or 1994 for playing an ineligible player.

Yea TN's performance against Air Force was nothing like against Cal, so go figure. We'll destroy Oregon this week, and then you will see why we were ranked 9 to begin with.

Dude, you have no room to talk. Cal was absolutely tooled by Tennessee.

A W is a W in the books. Tennessee smoked you guys and got the W against Air Force.

Time for more PAC-10 always gets screwed chat. The last two teams that got 'screwed' were Cal and Oregon. What happened in their bowl games?

I'm not a firm believer in the 'down' week but I'll throw this out there. Air Force was sandwiched in between California in week 1 and Florida in week 3. I'm sure that has some mental effect on the players regardless.

i've said it before and i'll say it again, any pollster that votes oregon ahead of ou should be stripped of their duties.

What about voters that vote Texas or Notre Dame ahead of Michigan? There are PLENTY of them in the AP poll.

Pollsters that put ND or Texas ahead of Michigan should have their right to vote in the polls revoked. I hate Michigan but nobody should be voting Texas or ND ahead of them.

i dont know why so many people hate on cal. we lost our very first game, playing in a stadium and an opponent that was thousands of miles away, starting a quarterback who only played part of one game last year and was recovering from a broken foot the rest of the season. we've won every game since. yes, the TN game was shockingly awful, but i have a lot of faith in the bears and think they'll pull out a great season. :) i cant wait till the SC game.

I really hope they have a great season. All of the Cal fans I met in Knoxville, before and after the game, were great people to hang out with. We even had a father and his 2 sons tailgate with us beforehand.

It was also a huge statement game for UT after last years collapse. It was all they focused on for the whole off-season. The AF game was a little cofusing but I agree with the above poster that it was a sandwich game and they were looking to UF.

I agree. I have a hard time believing that these people even follow the sport.

Here is the link. You can view each individual voter's poll.

Give me one compelling reason that Texas should be ranked higher than Michigan.
