BC #2 when they struggled to beat a shitty ND team?

KY #8 in the AP and #13 in the Coaches poll - with a 6-1 record and beating #1...

🙁 on the 13th....

USF will be a solid #1 in the computers, and LSU #2. I think that will put the BCS as Ohio State #1, then USF, BC, LSU, and Oklahoma.

Sad that LSU lost yesterday, but glad that we're at least still top 5. It'll definitely be interesting to see how things turn out at the end of the season.

LOL, we (Michigan) actually made it in the top 25 in one of the polls...I didn't think it'd happen, wow. Too bad Illinois and Wisconsin are dropping like flies, so when we beat them it won't look nearly as impressive. oh well.

Michigan is in the top 25 again (AP poll). 🙂

I expect the BCS rankings to be very different than the polls. BTW, when is that coming out anyway?

Last year, Fox announced it during one of the NFL games, and the rankings were posted on the bcsfootball.org website shortly after that. I haven't heard if they are continuing that this year.

No, it doesn't. Since each of those team's one losses came from each other, they should have a much tighter grouping. I'm fine with LSU being rated higher than Kentucky since the game went to overtime and was played in Lexington. At a neutral field, LSU most likely wins...however, the gap between them should not be from 5th to 13th.

Kentucky beat LSU who beat South Carolina who beat Kentucky. It's impossible to rank those three teams based on those 3 games only.

If you look at the whole season, LSU is obviously the best of those three.

The gap will be much closer in the BCS ratings. I expect LSU 4th and Kentucky/South Carolina to be no worse then 9th.

NO! Its not stupid. Some people fail to realize LSU was on the road against a good team. Went into overtime and barely lost. If the game were at LSU the result would have been different. If the game were on a neutral field and they played 10 games, LSU would win more. Just because one team beat another doesnt mean they are better. The circumstances surrounding that very moment favored Kentucky. I'm not an LSU homer, infact I HATE THEM. I'm an OU fan and I believe until LSU loses another game they should be the top 1 loss team. But they will lose another game.

Just looking at these initial BCS numbers, Ohio State could be undefeated and be left out of the mix at the end of the regular season. LSU and South Florida are computer darlings and LSU is only going to get stronger in the human polls if they keep winning.
