I loved BBQ sandwiches. As for the rice, that is the one I would choose out of those options. But I think you need some BBQ beans on there. That's pretty much a staple of BBQ joints.

I'd personally pick this main dish: grilled beef kabob. They are best without mushrooms.

The side dish depends on a lot of factors. I'd go with potato salad if it had mustard. If not, I'd go with the corn bread if there is syrup. If not, I'd go with the mac salad.

the spot im thinking of will be a small take-out at the local farmer's market, or maybe a small stand outdoors with the rest of the vendors.

I would definately add chicken breast to the menu. Maybe wings, too. How about beef briskit?

As suggested before, you need mac & cheese and bbq beans

I'd also add chili as a side. I'd probably scrap the white rice and go for something a bit more flavored, like a spanish rice or something like that.


There's a small BBQ place near my parents that does pretty good business. They're only open in the summer. Small menu like yours.

There's a great BBQ joint here in Syracuse that absolutely booms: Dinosaur BBQ.

similiar how nathans serves good hot dogs, pats cheesesteaks only sells cheesesteaks, and cinnabon only serves cinnabon.


trying to keep the menu simple, labor easy, and maximize yield.

Then I'd head back up for anything that was left...
I'd get in on the pork sandwich with some potato salad if I could.. but only as seconds

Dino BBQ is the best, I've been to the one in Rochester multiple times. And they come to my school every spring, 5 bucks a plate. Line gets so long it has to wrap wround the vendor area

I would add BBQ beans, and Mac and Chees, and scrap the White Rice.

There is a guy who has a large BBQ attached to a small truck. he goes around diffrent stores and sales. HE always gets good business. He has the best BBQ i have ever had. He has a small menu also. his chicken breast sandwich is to die for. yumm..

BBQ turkey legs are popular. Your menu isnt southern BBQ, i would do more research if i were going into business.

im trying to actually strive for really good tasting bbq. the sides are just there for fillers. white rice being such a simple item, i decided to add it.

add a bunch of cups in a rice cooker + water = really really simple and cheap side.
