Bayonetta - one crazy bit... I mean witch.

Yeah, the game is absolutely amazing 🙂 Pure, unrestricted fun 😀 If slightly annoying at times 😛 But probably because I tend to suck at such games when I play them too much and get cocky with the mobs 😛

Maybe people enjoy it that much that they're still playing and don't have time to reply here? 😉

That would be me. Rented Bayonetta and MW2 to play over 5 days. Played MW2 the first night just past the No Russian mission. Played Bayonetta the rest of the time.

Awesome game. If it were not for the demo on Xbox Live, I probably would have never picked it up. Story was pretty good, even though it was a bit too anime at times. I finally beat the game the night before the rentals were due. Each boss fight was epic and unique in its own way.

I'm hoping that people remember Bayonetta come Game of the Year time. It's certainly worth the nod. I'll probably go out and buy it myself in a few days.

So I finished the game today. Finally managed to beat the part in Chapter XV... Anyway, the game is totally awesome. Would gladly spend the money again! I don't really get the whole story still, but I understand it "in general" so I guess it's fine (will try to find some explanations online). I started on Hard and it looks like the difference is
the higher mobs showing up earlier like the bloody fire/lightning duo on the very first stage... That kinda killed it for me 😛
I also totally loved the Epilogue!

If anyone's still on the fence - at least rent it 🙂 The game is worth a buy easily imo Intense, fun, smooth, over-the-top, funny and very very enjoyable!

downloaded and tried the demo..... game looks amazing, pretty much a button masher from what i could see. didn't finish the demo, i might give it another whirl tonight. cool bosses, cool design and game has a good feel to it.

I started playing the game today and just finished Chapter 2. WOW! This game is intense and pretty freaking hard at times! Dodging attacks is crucial to staying alive!

Love this game so far, traded my GOW collection +9 buck for this gem. On gamefaqs there are people who complain about this game and it always seems to compare to a certain bald headed character who name begin with K and end with a vowel.

First you need Durga, just on your hands is fine. Make sure you are using them in the blue electricity mode. Buy Gaze of Despair and Selene's Light. I think you can still get a lot if you only use Selene's Light but much better with both.

Then go to Chapter 7. It is a boss only level. Spam the shit out of the punch button and try not to break combo. If you get knocked too far back you can shoot until you get closer. This isn't really the phase that matters anyway.

Keep fighting him just spam the button. After you destroy his arms you gotta break the 3 orbs on his body. So what you do is just spam the punch button and when 1 is destroyed, you panther run to the next and you'll keep your combo. When those are all destroyed run to the head and do the same thing. You'll still have to dodge attacks but try not to break combo. Even if you die you'll get a ton though so don't waste potions.

You'll get over 1million halos in 5 minutes once you run through and learn how to do it a couple times. That is on normal

wooooow that actually works! I got 1.2mil halos after I was able to get those two accessories!

I tried the demo on my PS3 ( because my 360 decided to go and RRoD after 3 years ), and it was kind of fun, but I have one huge gripe. In the stage with the crimson chick in the hall... she goes running around away from you and then you have to find her. The finding her part was such a pain while playing because the camera is so terribly slow. I move my joystick around to try and pan around the area to find her, and it would just slowly move around. Thinking about it, I wonder if I would've just been able to hit my target button and had it automatically position the camera... but I don't know if that feature is even in the game.

Oh and the graphics on the PS3 version were pretty terrible for a PS3 game. It looked like only a mere step above Devil May Cry on the PS2.

I had similar issues with the fight against Jeanne. Use your gun to fire if she moves off camera. Unless you're ridiculously far away, it will target her and you can just follow your stream of bullets. On the 360 version, I believe there is a camera speed option, so you may also want to see what's tweakable in that regard.

I have heard (no fanboyism here, just reporting the reports) that the PS3 version of Bayonetta has some graphics issues in terms of both quality and performance, but since I don't own a PS3 yet, I haven't been paying close attention as to whether a patch is in the works.

At least on my retail Xbox version, there are options to control the camera speed with the stick. The default is the slowest speed.

At least the ps3 got a hard drive install option. the load times arent as hideous now.

First thing I did with my Xbox 360 game was install it to the hard drive. Did you not know this was an option on the xbox?

And yes, it is widely acknowledged that the PS3 version is graphically inferior to the xbox 360 version for Bayonetta. Still a good game and still playable, but it obviously wasn't coded properly to take advantage of the PS3 hardware.

Yeah, I played it again on the 360 and I think it looked a bit better... I know I certainly performed a lot better... actually got a... perfect platinum (or something like that) coin one time. I'd have to look at them both again to see if one really looked better than the other, but I do believe that the 360 one definitely had an upper hand, but I think even it could've looked better.

Finally got around to playing the PS3 demo this weekend. Seems like its pretty cool and fun, but the camera absolutely sucks!!! it never points where I want it to and its SOOOOO SLOOOOOW to move it manually. Graphics looked nice too though.

I just picked it up, as soon as I can tear myself away from AVP and BFBC2 demo im going to get started, good to hear everyone is enjoying it so much!

You may benefit from the advice given to me... there's an option to increase camera movement speed. Unfortunately, it's set very low by default, but it's a lot better if you jack it up a bit.

Yes, it's set absurdly, ridiculously low by default. Probably 10-20 seconds to do a 180 degree pan.
I just started the game a few days ago, enjoying it thus far.

I bought the game as part of K-Mart's $29.99 sale and am having a ball with it. Being a 360 owner, I miss wacky Japanese games where the plot doesn't make a lick of sense but it wins you over with its awesome style and tight gameplay.

I'm not sure what the rationale for setting the camera spin so low was. While I was enjoying the game enough with it on the default level, the game became tons more fun when I set it to near-max levels. You'd think an action game with enemies coming at you from every which way would have taken this into account.
