I got a key about an hour after signing up today. Will download overnight and try it out tomorrow.
 
Got a key, installed it and ran through a couple of maps. No real play time but seems like this should be a DLC, not a full fledged game. In the words of one of my friends: "It's pretty damn fun, but not $60 fun."

There is also single player, which is probably where they spent most of their time. One of the linked videos has a bunch of info.
 
Fun game, learned quick that being in a vehicle is much smarter then being on foot. Got rammed by one of those charger police cars already.:awe: But when i got in one of those armored Swat trucks i had my fun too. :biggrin:

Issue wise i got a hitch/stutter that i also get in BF4, no other issues besides that. Perhaps 337.88 would fix my hitching?

Overall the game is smooth,feels better then BF4 even at least to me.🙂 Worth the download for sure.
 
Everything seems a bit wonky to me at the moment. Just need to get the hang of it I guess. Also, park the armored vehicle for your team on your vault = instant win.
 
I just got my invite last night (about a day after registering), so if you don't get an invite right away I don't think you're "out" or anything. They're probably just staggering sending them out.

My question always is: Who still buys retail nowadays? You could get 20-25% off pretty much every game nowadays, usually even during preorder periods...
 
Just want to repeat for people trying to play the beta. This is a Visceral developed game. This demo is to test and work out multiplayer bugs, which is usually the hardest part for a developer to work through.

When your playing this and you say to yourself, it seems like an add-on or DLC. Then you are right. It is an addon. It isn't the focus of the game. The focus of this game is the SP mode. Otherwise Visceral wouldn't be involved.

They actually focus on a sp game for this fps? I'm curious to see how good it will be.
 
Was fun for a bit but hoping the open beta seriously considers some new game modes cause i already got bored and uninstalled this already.

Two big issues or perhaps bugs annoyed me to hell, one is when out of nowhere i had 3 enemies spawn prone less then 10 feet away from me and you know the rest. The second was some random impossible one shot sniper kill, i was in the interceptor going full speed and this shot was taken around a corner many blocks out of his view.

Not sure what that kill was about but it was best described as something out of the movie"Wanted", this bullet had to go at least 5 blocks and make this hard left and come up behind me and whack me. Thinking it was a delayed kill do to lag?

Overall without some new game modes in the open beta, i don't see a $60 game.

I applied again yesterday after some people mentioned they got in recently after just signing up. Low and behold, Hardline just showed up in my Origin Library. I didn't get an email, but I'm downloading it now. Maybe try again.

Yeah, looks cheaper than Second Chance, or whatever they call it in COD. I guess once you know what the class looks like you just shoot them again when they are on the ground. Hopefully they will remove it, since everyone who has described it has said its BS.

Hmm I was hoping to get into the ps4 beta. Haven't opened origin on my pc in a while. I'll check it tonite.

When I signed up the first time Origin was acting weird, so maybe all the requests from that day are messed up. I don't know, but maybe its the same with PS4.

I was only able to play a game since technically I am working. Well, two games, since the first one was spent looking at the classes and settings. Didn't do too bad for not playing BF in at least 6 months. I don't think anyone knows what they are doing at the moment. It seems very chaotic, but its hard to tell if its the game mode or just because its new. This definitely doesn't have that intense CS feel. Not even Payday. Its like those Crank movies. hahaha I don't know, I guess I need to play more tonight.

My buddy got his ps4 invite he likes it a lot and thinks there needs to be more game modes. I also signed up for destiny beta or alpha and I hope I get that at least so I can see what its about. Looks like borderlands with better graphics. I wasn't a huge fan of borderlands. Also seems like halo.
 
I signed up initially and haven't so far been offered access. If EA has messed it up (likely) then so be it. I certainly wont be buying it from what I have seen of it so far.

Besides the point (and I generally get stuff on discount), it's being billed as a full-fledged game, which is what I was referring to.

Just try it again. Takes 1 min. Kinda weird, but the Beta showed up in my Origin library some time during the night, and I downloaded and then played a game this morning. Hour and a half later I get the email saying I am invited to the beta. Things a just wonky right now. Maybe they underestimated demand.
