Battlefield: Hardline

I'm way more interested in this game than I was in Battlefield 4. Visceral is a talented studio, they did Dead Space 1-3. Very well optimized games.

Although I'm less than thrilled with some of the new gadgets -- especially the Riot Shield -- I'm actually really excited about the proposed changes to the shooting mecahnics vis-a-vis BF3/4. Specifically, suppression is being removed from the game and the base recoil of all the guns has been increased.

In short, the game is rewarding for having more 'skill' rather than relying on grenade spam or simply being the first to get shots down range.

I'm looking forward to this version of the game. I've been playing BF4 for a few months now (just got to level 68 yesterday) and to be completely honest, I've been hooked. So I'm more likely to get Hardline when it comes out since the urban (cops vs. robbers) setting can be a nice alternative to the military, modern warfare experience. Oh, I almost forgot, another feature I'm looking forward to is the vehicles, looks like they'll be plenty to choose from.

Hardline should have not been named a Battlefield game. Also it looks worse graphically than the new COD that will come out. Honestly while I like what EA is doing here in creating a different experience with a shooter I hope they change things I have mentioned.

I signed up two minutes after it was announced and got a key. Unfortunately, it says that the key has already been used.....

No emails yet here, kept seeing some sites claiming that yesterday they filled all they wanted for the day. Not sure if suddenly half the people who signed up here will suddenly get in today or what yet.

My buddy said it's closed so we probably won't get in. You had to download it in the bf4 menus when it was announced. The email sign up was for those who don't have bf4.

Me and a few friends signed up yesterday afternoon when there was a banner advertising the signups on Battlelog, I think 1/3 of us got in so far.

I tried signing up for PC beta and get this goofy lookin dialog:

Typing in my Origin email, or username, and password and clicking "Log In" do nothin. Bah.

I've been watching friends who got in the closed beta play on PS4 streaming. It looks pretty fun, but not really as objective based as I was hoping for.

This is just a re-skinned battlefield, quite a shame they plan on banking money on what is essentially a mod that the community could have made given the tools. For shame EA, for shame.

Hell to the yes, just got a email and the download starts.🙂 Damn and i almost gave up on checking again after checking a good 20 times.:awe:

Not bad of a size either, must be few maps at under 7gb.
