I know most people buy this game for the MP.

I got it for the SP, as I dont play much MP games.

So far it has been quite enjoyable and I would compare it to CoD SP games....if you like the CoD SP...then you will probly like this....if not, then you probly won't.

Here are a few screenshots.

SP was OK...I hated how they kept making fun of COD MW2 but for some reason copied a lot about the game. If you are going to insult someone dont do what they do...

nice screenshots
however i'd prefer dice just concentrate on MP only in future BF titles. imagine some of the maps from SP in MP.

I loath BC2 single player, the last patch broke the the knife in multiplayer because it was a supposed "fix" for some rare bug in single player, of which you use the knife all of 2 or 3 times in super lame scripted events forcing you to use that knife that didn't need to be in game in the first place.

I jokingly say this because I really miss my knife in multiplayer, otherwise made for a fun run through. The noise the secret weapon makes sounds like it was stolen almost identically from Crysis.

very few play over 10hrs of single player because it takes only 5 hrs or so to beat. but people routinely play hundreds, or even thousands of hrs in a game's lifetime so i don't see why they need to waste time/effort on SP. there's like dozens of cool settings they created maps for in SP. and only SP... spend the time putting those maps on MP and i'll be happy.

Over 57% of people completed the similar length single-player campaign in MW2.

I for one want SP campaigns for the times when I don't want to deal with the idiots that often populate MP games.

I paid $14.86 delivered off e-bay.....I dont pay $50 for any game.

The game will not work online, but I did not want to play the MP anyway.

Single player was ok, this game is more fun to look at than it is to play.

SP looks nice - I might pick it up when the price drops.
I grabbed it just for the single player when it was 20 bucks at the EA store. I enjoyed the single player a little more than Modern Warfare. BC2 is not as "on rails" as MW and you certainly have a little more freedom. having a pretty destructible environment makes BC2 a little more fun too.

I have COD4, COD :WaW, and BFBC2. Before today, I had never finished the single player side of any of them.
The other day I had 30-40 minutes to spare, not necessarily enough for a round of multiplayer, so I thought I would check out some BFBC2 single player, at least to see more maps they could bring over for multiplayer.
First off, I don't remember the default FOV being that bad, but it is horrible! Everything seemed to be right in my face! I wanted to keep backing up.
A lot of the maps are horribly linear, but beautiful, nonetheless. The action was varied, the difficulty about right, maybe a little too easy in some parts (I played on the middle difficulty). The worst thing to me is the invulnerability of your squad mates, it just ruins the immersion. But, I pushed on, it was still fun. I played a few hours a day over the last several days and finished it today. The ending seemed a little abrupt, probably because I played right through the last part without dying. It should have gotten more difficult towards the end, but no.
I don't usually play "story games", so I can't tell you what the state of the art is for writing in a videogame. My expectations are not that high. I thought it was an OK story line. At least it made some sense, I could follow what was going on, there was sense of natural progression. ATM, I can't recall if there was any ongoing story in the COD games I played, that tied the individual missions together. So, credit to BFBC2.
I can see myself going through it again at higher difficulty. Some parts I whizzed right though, and feel like some of the fun got left behind. I can think of it as practice for Onslaught mode!

I paid $50 just for the single player as well. Just finished the game a half hour ago. And I plan on playing through it again soon. And in "my opinion" it is alot better than anything Call Of Duty. But that's "my opinion".

I just finished the single player....the cutscenes and the cinematics were very well done in my opinion.

Since those are final sequence screen shots, you may want to include "spoiler" in the title.
