I can do the same for people. The post office is right next door, so I can have you pay via paypal, I can get it and ship, and if they are OOS, I will refund.

edit: now OOS at Hyde Park Plaza Staples.

If for some odd reason I visit another one and find some copies, I will pick them up and sell them at cost here or on FS/FT.

Or, are you saying that you called a store and they told you over the phone that it's $49.99? If so, then they still have the old shelf price and don't know that it's on clearance.

-The employees might not have noticed the great price and keep them all for themselves.
-If it's a price mistake they catch it, everyone gets shafted.
-If there are coupons being used and managers catch wind of the deal, they have refused to accept coupons, and I've heard of a few times where they called coporate and got coupons revoked. Some managers are jerks.
- In some situations, bothering people about a deal will make them cancel it.

If I were you I would go buy one of those CD buffer tools... CD wizard etc... they work real well. I use mine for game CD's and movie CD's etc. You can get rid of just about any scratch with one of those.

So how is BF2? Is it really that good and worthwhile or is it just a whole lot of hype? Does it allow for user-made custom maps? Does the server browser count "bots" as human players? How many people are playing it online during prime time?

It's probably a moot point for me since the Staples are probably all out by now.

I just went to staples today, and honestly I didn't expect much, but lo and behold, they had one copy of BF2 left for 19.90... had a nice little clearance sticker on it and everything.

I picked up NFS MW Black for 19.90 as well, and they had a few sims and sims2 expansion packs for $9.90.

My staples had NFS: Black for ~$50 when I went. I might go back and see if they changed the price on that.

Man, I just got back from trying staples store number 8 over the course of the last two weeks spanning 4 cities and 280 miles! Nobody had it in stock (and no, I did not drive all that way for just the game, it was buisness travel). Great job to all you that found copies (and to all those that bought the copies from my stores )

My copy did not come with a serial number :| There was no manual for the game and it was the last copy in Fort Worth, so I faxed a message to EA after speaking to them on the phone.

I am still waiting on the response from EA games.
