A lot of time when expansion packs come out some genious thinks that's the next version and puts the "old versions" on clearance.

That, and a lot of times they like to keep technology products moving, so that nothing on their shelves is over a year old.

I don't think you are lying it's just that there are no staples right next to me so it would be a little bit of a drive and I don't want to go for nothing. As it is a YMMV I wanted to see an ad so I could bring that in to help get the lower price. I did not mean any offense by that.

it'll ring up at 20. worked at staples for half a decade, i know these things, and when games go on clearance they go on clearance everywhere because their new set is coming out.

There aren't ads for clearance items. If they are trying to get rid of the item permanently by slashing the price when some stores don't even have it in stock, why would they pump money into advertising it?

Well i got the one they had on hold for me for $19.90+tax=21.54
Then i went to the other STAPLES again only one left, Price on the shelve was $49.99, But at the register shows $19.90 so i took it for my nephew, So i got 2 of them.
