Battlefield 1943 coming to PSN and XBL this summer

I've played some single player games of BF 1942 in anticipation for this... with 12 bots on each side, some of those maps are pretty sparse. I think I played an entire map without killing a single enemy. 😱 That was on one of the bigger desert maps though. Wake Island seemed too big with bots that do their own thing, but I suppose humans will be likely to focus the fighting on a couple of areas. I'm pretty sure I remember playing 12 on 12 games back when it came out on PC and it was fine.
 
I for one thought that Bad Company's engine was a piece of trash. It played like total ass. Which is why I'm worried for the new Battlefield. I loved 1942, Vietnam, and 2 so I'd hate to see the series start to suck.

You're a fool. The Frostbite engine from BF:BC was great. DICE is using, in their words, Frostbite 1.5 for BF:1943. It has improvements over the first engine to include full building destruction.

Just got a tweet from the Battlefield 1943 devs that the 360 version is coming on the 8th and the PS3 version is coming on the 9th.
 
I was pretty excited about this at first but thinking about it more I feel like we're getting ripped off even for 15$.

On another note, i am damn excited, i will get it for the console and then for sure the pc.
 
i am pretty damn excited for this. are the psn and xbl servers are separate for this game? i guess it's too big of a dream to hope that players can play each other x-platform.

Yeah, all the platforms are going to be separate for online play.
