Yep. Its about minimum dips on 64 man servers. Mantle gave a solid boost even for quad sb and up cores on eg Shanghai map in bf4. Its performance and smooth frametime variance where it matters most. You don't say.
We already have games like that though. Like Hitman and Total War, BF1 is pretty much guaranteed to benefit from it on 64 player servers once DX12 is actually finished.
Pointless trying to draw conclusions about DX12 based on this beta implementation. I hold DICE in higher regard than to think their DX12 path is actually going to regress performance.
Even on 64 man server i'm seeing CPU usage hovering in the mid 40's, and peaking to 50% This was done @ 1080p

A 6600K as the minimum? They are nuts if the final game requires that.
Don't take it too seriously guys. What is FX-6350 doing next to an i5-6600K?
That is not official developer system specifications.Battlefield 1 Minimum PC (CPU) Requirements

Ok that is for the open beta I see.wingman04 said: "That is not official developer system specifications."

- Hard-drive space: 10GB
Yep. CPU performance doesn't seem to be an issue with this game at all. I suppose certain maps may change things a little, but not by much I don't expect. Even if DX12 is useless, DICE had to implement it. If they didn't, they'd be criticized for being out dated and lazy etc. But hey, if DX12 brings better CPU performance, I'll take it. Who wouldn't?
What is the monitor resolution in that video?I don't know which CPU's do you have guys, but for most of the people with i5's the game doesn't run well. You can check it on the official forums search for "i5's are dead".
I have a i5 3450 and I can't run the game because my CPU is a bottleneck. The same happens for the 3570k. The game is playable in the 3770k but the CPU reaches 90% frequently.
So...
I was about to upgrade my GPU, but after this I think it doesn't worth it.
The game doesn't even run fine on the 6600: https://www.reddit.com/r/battlefiel...me_runs_poorly_on_i5_processors_dice_pls_fix/

How can I see it's the CPU in his video? Could be he is using 1440p with a GTX970.I bet it's 1080p 42% res scale. But anyway, it doesn't matter much since resolution is more gpu bound, and that means that at higher resolution he would get a gpu bottleneck instead of a cpu bottleneck. But as you can see in the video, he's bottleneck is mainly the cpu.
This happens with a almost every i5.

What do you have for FPS in BF1?There must be some other variables involved with these people, because this game is weak on the CPU from what I've seen. I'll check out the forum you linked though. I run a really old hex core. Its an ancient sandy bridge and is many generations old. The IPC is a half decade behind the new stuff. Also, Everyone sais games don't use more than 4 cores, so I might as well be running a sandy bridge quad. So in that case, the game runs great on my half decade old sandy bridge quad.
Dual cores are obsolete long time ago, no matter the high IPC. Even if they get high fps, they stutter like hell.
