Lets do another one of these. However, instead of using brands, lets use different versions of CPUs to get a more spread-out vote. Factors:

-Speed
-Power Consumption
-PPP (Price per Performance)
-Reliability
-Satisfaction

Remember, vote YOUR favorite.

*****Edit: It is Intel Core i7-4770K*****

Oops, I voted before seeing your correction. Was thinking that it was rather obvious that a 7th gen Intel Core processor would smoke anything of today. 😛

Intel Core i7-7770K

I guess that would be the "best" since its an i7 from the future...

4770k is clearly the current best IMO

I'm going to go with the i7-7770k.

I think a CPU from the future generally beats things out now.

Unless it was an AMD CPU. Then I wouldn't be sure if I'd pick it over a 4770k/4670k.....

Has anyone bothered to actually read the OP?

Yes, a 4770k is the best among the bunch, but not necessarily once you factor in the other stuff such as price per performance ratio which is why i5 4670k got my vote.

If it were my money, for my build, the top three in no particular order would be the i7 4770k, the FX8320 (I've taken liberty to replace the 8120, it isn't made any more and no one wants one :awe: ), and the i5 4670k.

I repair and fix computers, so here is my top 3...

3. AMD Athlon X4-760K: This isnt a killer CPU, but for $85 it is very good. Out of the box it is 3.8Ghz and not as fast as an i3, when overclocking with an aftermarket cooler I can overclock it to 4.5Ghz and performance is the same as a low-end i5.

2. AMD FX9590: This is a fast CPU. While performance dosent beat an i7-4770K, it is 4.7Ghz. You cant overclock it that much, nor is it really meant for overclocking, with a good cooler I can reach 4.9Ghz, 5Ghz if pushing it.

1. Intel Core i7-4770K: This is the best CPU out IMO. It is very fast. Starting at 3.5Ghz out of box, it can be overclocked to 4.5Ghz maximum.

Intel Core i7-7770K clearly!

Its from the future and 3 generations ahead of anything we have today.

EDIT:Far too late to the party with this post but whatever :awe:

Where's the VIA option??? 😛

But seriously the best cpu is the haswell i7 in my lappy cause that's the one I use :awe:
