Leave the "I'm not a homo" seat between you and your friend when you go to the movies.

If you're not a homo, why are you going to the movies with a guy? ;)

I'm ugly and have high standards.

LOL at the "I'm not a homo seat"

I thinhk we should rename it the "I'm secretly attracted to my bestfriend but cant tell him so I have to act uber macho to compensate" seat

Drive a nail with a hammer. Few things look more ridiculous then a manly man that can't hit a nail :)
Know how to tie at least 3 real knots, and when to use which
Basic household repairs (fix a toilet, replace an electrical switch or outlet, patch drywall, fix a leaky faucet, unplug a drain, paint a room)
Know how to safely use the following basic tools. Own at least half of them: circular saw, drill, jigsaw, table or radial saw, tape measure, square, level, chainsaw
Carry in your trunk at least the following (and know how to use them): jumper cables, basic toolbox, tow strap or chain, tie-down strap, sand (in winter)
Have the brains to walk out of a bad situation, even if it looks "unmanly"

Oh yeah ... I don't give a rat's ass about sports. This man has better things to do then spends hours every weekend in front of the TV

If you have to read the instructions to put together your kid's toys, you are definitely a girly-man :D

Personally, it's just that as someone who is fairly ugly and could stand to lose 30-40 lbs, I'm already fighting two negative stereotypes - I don't need a third. Nothing against gays.

I like this man's thinking.

Additions to the list:
Know how to use a pc (cuz women+technology=disaster)
Know how to cook for yourself (also helps with the ladies)
Know at least 10 different kinds of beer/liquor and be able to chug them all
Know how to whoop some ass

And I don't think farting at will is really a man skill, but more of a lonely bachelor skill (will NOT help you make friends)

The ability to throw out a manual and build and set up something expensive, have dozens of extra parts left over, and still have it work :D

i don't think the sports stuff has to be on the list
Let me guess, you think every man should know the name of four different shades of beige?

no, i can milk a cow, i can herd sheep, i can build furniture from scratch, i just am not into sports

i like watching the Braves play baseball, but i don't watch football or other sports

i just think there are plenty of "man" things besides sports that could be substituted for the sports stuff

I agree.

I am HANDY MAN!!

But I don't know SH!T about sports, nor do I care to.
HUGE waste of time, energy and resources if you ask me...

Know how to treat his significant other (male or female) like gold. Oh, and loyalty to friends & family (unless they treat you like crap)..

Oh I don't believe no one has said "Know how to punch out your fellow man!". ;)

I said "whoop some ass", I think that counts.

I was going to say "Know how to defend himself and his date/wife/family." I also think a man should know how to operate a firearm, regardless of whether he owns one or how he feels about them.

Know how to change a tire
Know how to change your oil
Know how to open a bottle of beer with whatever is within arm's length
(seatbelt is my favorite...)
Know who who won the last World Series and Super Bowl
(bonus points for knowing who won ALL of them)
Know pertinent stats of every big name sports hero in your hometown
Know top speed, horsepower and 1/4 mile times of at least 10 cars
(bonus points for knowing 10 model years of 10 cars...)
Know how to make your own beer
Know how to undo a bra with one hand

There should only really be one thing on this list in my opinion :

How to pick up women.

Quotes like this have gotta be teenagers whose idea of women are the models in magazines and who think they can die happy once they get laid ;) In reality most aren't that hot, all are annoying as hell, and good ole' lefty is usually a better lay. Hence the need for other skills, especially for those who have the ball & chain around their ankle and need an excuse to get into the garage or great outdoors for a few hours each day.
