I have a linksys DSL router, currently with 3 systems connected. However, I have not set up any sort of home network yet. Two of the systems use XP and the one connected to the DSL Modem/router has 98SE (long lazy story).
My problem: I need to transfer a large file from one of the XP systems to my 98SE system, in the simplest manner possible. When I go to "network neighborhood" I do not "see" either of the other two XP machines. I have file sharing turned on in my 98 machine. How do I enable my system to "see" the other XP system(s) so that I can transfer the file? Hopefully without jumping through too many hoops. I have considered a direct USB connection but figured that since I already have the router installed I might as well use it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
