Why would it be any different? If someone cheated, I don't think they deserve to have their "records" recognized.
I do think Pete Rose should be in the hall of fame (unless he also cheated). I think it's absurd that the penalty for gambling is far more than the penalty for cheating in baseball.

He bet while mangaing a team in baseball. I fell his records and stats should stand but he does not fit the profile and rules for being in the HoF. The HoF is not just about records, even though most think it is. For that reason I do not think he should be in. Of course neither should Bonds.
It doesn't mention "team coached". He should be in by the merits of his playing.
Interesting arguments, I'm torn on this one but I definitely feel his records as a player should stand as they do.
