Thought I'd go visit brietbart and the comments are hilarious. "This is bad news for us" "I'm off the Trump train" "Trump won't need us for another three years now"
thanks for taking one for the team. I don't have access to a shower otherwise I'd go peek at the underbelly of society as well.

According to him. Do you really think he resigned, then days later, spoke with a reporter and talked about all his plans for the future of the White House?

Yea, this is a firing. As usual somebody other than Trump swings the axe, Kelly getting the task this time.

Will be interesting to see how many leaks stop now. I think Bannon was behind a ton of the anti-Jarred stuff and a few other things. But this is one more prong pointing back at Trump. His base was already eroding. Bannon was the glue that held that together. He'll get a slight bump from making a reasonable decision but it won't match the recoil from the hard righters that rallied around the Gin Blossom.

The drums of a war on Trump are starting to beat at Breitbart now, according to reporter twitter.

I find it interesting that the article says Bannon claims it was his idea to resign, claiming he effectively did so on August 7. Which doesn't make sense given that he spoke to a reporter just a few days ago, talking about his plans and strategies for the future. He' obviously being canned.

Sounds legit he resigned days ago but has to leave immediately like right now.
Bannon must have auto date/time disabled on his phone

This definitely isn't the end to bigotry running amok in the White House, but it's an important step.

And I have to admit, there's a certain schadenfreude to watching Breitbart readers et. al. realizing what non-Trump voters have known all along: Trump is only in it for Trump, and he will gladly hurt everyone else to get what he wants.

I don't normally pay this much attention to white house staff, but have we ever had this much turnover of said staff among administrations from the past few decades?

I wonder how this is playing out with the brownshirts? Do they see this as a betrayal, or are they happy he's gone after calling them clowns?

If Trump would just resign, he wouldn't have to fire all these people. hopefully he'll get around to it.
