I sincerely doubt economic conditions a year prior to the election will mean much.
Well the POTUS election is 3 years away and the public's memory is very short term, hopefully this wild inflation stops well before then. I honestly think a lot of it is just an excuse to jack up prices with no real excuse, the gas part I understand since OPEC did announce last year they were severely cutting back production and from their standpoint why not, airlines were dead, vacation travel was dead, and demand totally stagnant.

What happens Monday is Bannon walks into court, turns himself in, hears the charges against him, pleads innocent, and walks out of the courtroom. Next, who knows when is his trial.

I still think that even with Bannon and Mark Meadows and all the others giving it up to the investigators, and if they do after forced to, this too will come and go and nothing will have changed nor Trump's feet held to the fire.

Oh I remember way back in 2017 when the Russia scandal supposedly meant the end of Trump. Then we had that Mueller report, remember that Mueller report?
Remember? Remember? Remember?
That too supposedly meant the end of Trump, and I actually downloaded the entire report in pdf format. I never read it, but oh boy were democrats excited to get that Mueller report, and that report went.... NOWHERE.

Or how about the impeachments? Two, to be exact. And guess what, they had absolutely no effect not one tinge of an effect on Donald Trump.
And after that?
Oh boy, we had so many "after that's" concerning Donald Trump I lost count, and yet again....NADA. NOTHING. ZILCH.
The only thing that actually had any effect on Donald Trump was all of those faked election ballots from China. And all of those rigged voting machines controlled by China.
At least we had THAT. That wonderful rigged election....
God bless the rigged elections.

And here we are again. Same old song, just another day. Realistically, does anyone, even one single person out there actually believe that Steve Bannon or Mark Meadows is going to bring Donald Trump down????
Does anyone believe that this investigative committee will bring Donald Trump down????

Their ongoing efforts will only make the animal more mad and a lot meaner. This current investigative attempt to box Donald Trump into a corner is like poking a stick at a lion in the lions cage. You're only going to make that lion really really mad. And should that lion ever get out of his cage, and run for president again, LOOK OUT AMERICA. You will be eaten up and digested in one single bite by that very mean very mad very pissed off orange haired lion.

So once again, we put our hopes on something like subpoenas and arrests and justice to once and for all get at Donald Trump. Did I say "justice" ??? ???
Well, all I can say is.... AMERICA, DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH!

I honestly don't understand how someone can plead innocent to not complying with a supeona. Is the argument that he did comply and they are lying about it?

There was an armed insurrection and attempted coup and you just want to let that slide?

It's not jsut that he wants it to slide, it's that he wants history to mark that he is simply being "picked on" not for encouraging, supporting, and participating in a coup, but because of how he identifies politically.

Republicans can only think and speak in a world without context. For whenever the context on the ground is taken with the things they say, they are revealed to be abject filth.

why hasn't he been arrested?

I assume he is still out of country? Hiding out in that monastery in the Italian Alps that his little cult is trying to convert to a new world order movement of fascist twats, maybe?

So, those federal charges which were dismissed because Trump pardoned him, well Bannon is being prosecuted by the State of New York, and will evidently surrender himself Thursday.

Of interest is the fact that his three co-defendants, none of whom were pardoned, had their cases proceed through the federal system. Two of them took plea bargains, one pleading guilty to one felony, and the other to three felonies. A third went to trial and ended up with a mistrial.

Odds are Bannon will do time here, but I bet he won't take a plea. His case will go to trial, and another hunch is that he may testify.

Too bad it would be illegal to put him to the 'they would have to kill me first' test.

He's going to wish he took a deal on the Fed charges.

He's going to be so popular on Riker's Island, his ass will look like the Holland Tunnel by the time those animals are done with him.

I highly doubt Bannon ends up in any kind of general-population wherever they potentially send him however one things for certain he would have been far less miserable in a Federal prison than grooving with the NYDOC!

Depends on where he's at. While Rikers is of course a hell hole the federal detention facilities in NYC are...also not great!

Danbury CT however is where most "big-wigs" end up when they go to a federal prison in the NY area and while you wouldn't want to live there given a choice it really is a "country-club" compared to say "Sing-Sing"/Ossining!

Unfortunately, that will last about one day until he's granted bail.

99.999% the closest he gets to "prison" on court-day is MAYBE the holding cells in the courthouse basement.... more likely since he will almost certainly bond out immediately not even that will happen.

Not if the judge sets the bail at.. Oh... say...

$25,000,000.00? The amount he stole in his "Build the wall" scam?

What about Epstein's old cell? Still have a vacancy? He would fit in well there.

Maybe Trump can get a whole wing named after him. He can donate one of his many signs that have been removed from buildings.

Whoa who hacked your account? Not your normal warm and fuzzy fortune cookie posts. Or lifeforms below cockroaches don’t matter?
Don’t be silly. My post overflows with the milk of human kindness. All that would happen is that the bad cop would say BOO and he’d squeal on Trump like a piggy.
