hahah good one. I think their next cd should be their best. Recording the same way they did awake, and coming off of their tours with Between teh Buried and Me (MP's new fave band), which is an insanely complicated and heavy metal band, that even MP admitted is more diverse and just as talented band. He said its the first band that has truly challenged his musician in years. So he's coming into this new cd with some aspirations to make his mark again.

That, and it seems their singer has finally accepted he's the weak link in the band and needs to do more experimental and modern singing.

Justice was good but not better then KTA, RTL or MOP, but i agree with what you typed for the most part. DM is actually good if you get your hands on the GH3 version which has much better mastering

Pretty much all of Frank Sinatra's good songs came from the 1960s. They are far better than his stuff in the 1940s and 1950s.

Of course, after the 1960s he didn't do much noteworthy.

SOAD is flat. I have all of their albums I think, but am relatively indifferent to their music in general.

That's the argument, I think. Except Meddle and Obscured by clouds should be included with the second half. Meddle marks that solid transition point into the glory years. They were touring early DSoTM for the second set of their Meddle tour.

besides, Meddle is a fantastic album. I have a few friends that prefer it above all their other work.

I think RHCP's 3 best albums are Blood Sugar Sex Magik, By The Way, and Stadium Arcadium, all of which are latter half. And I know I'm not alone here

While I think Origins of Symmetry and Black Holes and Revelations both have better songs than Absolution and Hullabaloo, the earlier two CDs (the latter two that I listed) are both good. Personally, I'm a fan of Stockholm Syndrome (track 5) and Hysteria (track 8) on Absolution and Shrinking Universe (track 3) on Hullabaloo (CD1).

If we ignored Saturday Night Wrist, I'd say Deftones. I'm not the biggest fan of their earlier music, but I do quite enjoy the latter stuff (although not so much in regard to Saturday Night Wrist).

I'd replace BTW with Californication personally.

While I love the funk that oldschool RHCP exudes, I find it hard to listen to anything pre-BSSM, except for a few select tracks. I can't stand early AK

I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or not. :laugh:

Stockholm is one of my favourite songs of theirs for sure. I like all of the old albums, I just feel as if each new album, as a whole, has been better than the previous one.
